OpenDNS fixes nothing… PSN is just not up to snuff imo.
for a time-warner connection, this really alleviates quite a few “no players found” messages. i’ve tried it for an hour or so and its great.
After trying a full evening now, I can confirm that OpenDNS at least works a lot better! USually one out of 3 matches disconnected. Yesterday it was closer to one out of 10!
And maybe… that’s just because the connection of the other person was to blame?
The ultimate solution seems to be using Wired internet!
Street Fighter used to disconnect for me every 3 matches, but only in-between rounds! I have a very strong router (Apple Airport Extreme) and the PS3 showed 100% wireless signal. Since PSN was not disconnecting while Street Fighter was, I though it was just a bloody bug. Turns out that capcom is programming is just too tight when it needs to connectback to the camcom server… 1 data package loss means losing connection. No other game I know is having problems with it, but Street Fighter IV has…
So if you have the same trouble as me, the wire will fix everything.

Since my last tourney on 10/26, VIIXIII took over the tournament organizing with his weekly and team tournaments. It’s tough to play enough to be in tournament form and keep these tournaments going. I’m sure everyone appreciates his efforts. Unfortunately, life can intervene and now we’re without tournaments once again.

Getting 8001050f error, and it won’t let me open heavy rain because it says it needs to sync trophy stuff, which makes little sense. Google search showed some people having the same problem with darksiders, so maybe new game update issues? I really have no idea.
General network error.
Seems to affect older-case style PS3’s.
Doesn’t seem to affect slim-cast PS3’s, though.
Needless to say, people are VERY upset about the Network outage on the older systems since it really shouldn’t be affecting offline play and games that you downloaded off PSN onto your HD… It DOES, however!
i dont know if this has anything to do with the recent bug, but i’ve dropped from sf4 3 championship games tonight.
each time it happened i was entering the lobby screen and then was disconnected.
before the bug i rarely ever dropped from games.

Hi, im from Argetina, because PSN doesnt support any account from LatinoAmerica, i created an European one, when i tried MvsC2 and HD Remix i played without any problems, but today when i tried to play SF for the first time on the PS3 (always played on PC) i didnt find any matches :(, also i tried MvsC2 again but i couldnt play either. Anybody knows whats happening? Thank you

i am a bit disappointed…
just get my copy of SSF4 and try to play online game with some friend ( all living in new caledonia) but it seems we can’t play together and i can’t play with australian .
With SF4 all was working very good no problem at all
do you know if we connect to the nearest server or ssf4 use the server that goes with your psn account ( french one for me so france because any for my countru )

which will look up all the dns servers by you based on your location to see which is the fastest. Great tool. Hope this helps out others who are still having issues.

I have TW in SoCal and have this issue as well. Can’t wait to try this out when I get home!
I have tried all the DNS changes and nothing works. Is there anything else that can help with the connectivity issue? I haven’t touched anything online for a good couple of weeks now.
