Well, we would never get somebody to match the body types of most of the characters.

I feel in this time that the movie would be conisdered racist/unethical, Rufus the fat American, Ken the rich spoiled white boy, Honda the typical fat Japanese sumo, Fuerte the typical small Mexican luchador, T. Hawk would offend several native tribes, Zangief being the typical dumb but strong Russian who loves vodka, all the female characters being eye candy, and Balrog would deeply offend the negro community…this considering the fact that the guy who yelled “you lie” is now being called racist…

I honestly think they will never get this right. Seriously, they killed it back in 94 and kicked its lifeless corpse around on the ground last year, just let it RIP.

But if they did attempt another SF flick, I’d say just cast a bunch of professional fighters. MMA is huge now and SF, in its essence, is MMA. Although it might be complicated to cast certain characters, like Honda for example or Dhalsim, I’m sure they can find decent, B-grade actors to fill those slots. Other than that, let the fighters have at it. Give them a nice script, that is actually related to the source material instead of some jacked up Hollywood bullshit and I’m sure they will do just fine.

A few good matches I think:

1. Ryu - Lyoto Machida (Why not… He looked the part in the costume.)
2. Ken - Kenny Florian
3. Guile - Brock Lesnar
4. Abel - Keith Jardine
5. Fuerte - Mysterio
6. Sagat - I wanna say a seasoned, highly experienced, real life fighter. No idea who though… I can’t imagine just anybody doing Sagat, hell they’d have to be really ripped to get it right. I wanna say Couture but he lacks the mass.
7. Balrog - Tyson if he’s interested lol…
8. Chun Li - Thick legged Asian model with a C Cup and decent acting skills.
9. Cammy - Keira Knightley could pull it off… With a bit of weight and a CG ass.
10. Vega - Antonio Banderas… If you’ve seen Assassins, you KNOW he can pull it off.
