That sounds like a simpler and better plan.

Initially, I only wanted to learn one three frame combo and use that for everything (punish combos, fast neutral combos (after a dash), meaty combos, and maybe stuff dashes) until I got comfortable with her and it, and then add in other combos.

I think I’m close to there now though so I can try adding that into the mix. I’ll use that for oki (once I learn my setups and make sure that is the best option, time-wise), and keep my c.LP combos/routes in my head if I need them for specific punishes/ reasons.

About meaty setups, when should I look for the meaty to hit?

For example, one meaty guide for Cammy says that on back-rise, after her HK Spiral Arrow, do a forward dash, c.HP.

Now, according to the frame advantage in training mode, after the forward dash, I’m at +9. Crouch HP is 9 frames, so okay, it makes sense. However, unless I have a VTC ready or CA, there isn’t a follow up.

I can do her F+HK instead, which is 12 frame startup, so I can still use this and counter a three frame wakeup light. I can, without any meter, combo from F+HK at that range into c.MP xx HK Spiral Arrow again and reset the cycle, so wouldn’t that be a better meaty button?

They’re both -2 OB, though the F+HK does leave me a bit closer.
