Yea Running Jam session with Dante. Plasma is good for getting in for Dante but hurts his damage abit…on the other hand Missiles is good for combo extensions.

Yeah that’s a tough one… it all depends on what you want for Dante, because Wright is good with HamSession/Plasma as well as Missiles. If you have Plasma Beam, then Dante has an easier time getting in for crossups. But if you use Hidden Missiles you can extend a ton.

I’d say run Get 'em Missile/JS/Hidden Missiles. Use Wright’s assist to crossup instead and then extend or pressure with Missiles. If you’re not comfortable with Wright assist, then try switching to Plasma Beam. Other than that, use Missiles.

Hey quick question, how is Dante with Ammy? I know she helps Wright but just wondering

…Dante and Ammy kind of do the same thing. On a Wright team, it would be a waste to have both, unless you specifically want to have two characters that excel in a neutral game, in which case they’ll do great together with Wright. The actual synergy between them is definitely there, but they also don’t really get anything truly significant from the other.

But what do I know, I hate Dante. :confused:

Honestly I only picked up Dante is cause while I love Wright(get em missile)/Haggar(Lariat)/Doom(Plasma beam). While I get a lot of Dhc options and lariat gets me easy objections just feels like Haggar just gets zoned out too easily D:

Picking Haggar can be hard for that reason although all it takes is one pipe or command grab to do massive damage. He is kind of a character designed around eventually getting a game-changing lucky hit which he is honestly pretty good at. That is why you see people like Bum and KaneBlueRiver so successful with him. If you want to run Haggar you will want an assist behind him to help him get in so it is a good thing you ran Doom Plasma Beam. What I am trying to say is that even though he has a rough time with zoning it is never hopeless (unless you are fighting Morridoom.) It is hard and definitely not in your favor against zoning teams though so I can see why you might want to switch.

Honestly thats why I mained Haggar that one hit can lead in to a character dead or if not it would be close and I could DHC into maya smelting to finish the job and this might be just be but it gave a sense of this is my team( I Know I run doom but still). I want to go back to Haggar but the zoning problems he has…makes me want to pull my hair out >.>

After a long journey on the road of character crisis I’ve finally decided on what teams to use, Zero/Wright/Doom or Chun/Wright/Doom. Whatever I use is gonna come down to preference after I test them in actual matches to get a feel for them, but I’d like to ask what everyone thinks the best assists would be. I’m hovering between the combinations between PTW, Missile, Hidden Missiles and Plasma Beam.

It depends I mean for Wright assist PTW is an okay lock down assist, only good when you get him into turnabout mode I’m not sure if you can apply it to long combos but I guess the knockback on it helps to hit confirm. However lets say you get three evidences go to trial tag to second character and you crossover counter and somehow PTW lands it can lead into a combo for objection.

Missile can be good for combo extensions I think Phamphy and Andres had some combos with Zero and missile assist, it’s also pretty good for wake up setups (if you’re willing to experiment and figure out some). I have a combo with Doom in the corner with missile, do your regular BNB and after the last foot dive rep do call missile assist then jumping :h: plasma beam into :l: molecular shield into w/e hyper. I’d say missile would be the best assist for Wright on those teams.

Plasma beam vs hidden missile both are good but I would say if you’re having a hard time calling out missiles during a match switch to plasma beam, I would stick with hidden missile for both team.

Haha I dropped Haggar and moved to Wright/Chris/Doom but don’t who to use at anchor again XD

Doom. Why would you consider anyone else on that team?

Because Doom is the most boring character in the cast. He’s so simple and there’s nothing to learn to play as him. (At least as anchor. I still love watching Cl0ckw0rk.)

I use him on anchor just for the missile assist and learning the infinite. I just was curious who could work with Wright/Chris on anchor.

I was under the impression that you were asking us to choose an anchor among Wright/Chris/Doom in which there’s only one real competent anchor among the 3. I’m sure any common anchors like Strider, Vergil, or Doom would be able to support your team.

Anybody use Dante Crystal instead of Jam Session? Does it nullify projectiles well enough for it to defend Wright after Maya runs away? Need to know since I’m desperate for an OTG in one of my new teams.

I always thought Wright was only a comedy character and would not be usable in a tournament because being able to ‘‘transform’’ (or level up? ) into Turnabout mode seemed to complicated, I am glad I was mistaken, why? simple, i recently knew Maya’s hyper(whatever the hell is called) was a LOW hit, meaning that you could just use the hyper and go for an overhead, unfortunately it seemed that in midscreen it was difficult to set it up because Wright lacks a good overhead outside of turnabout, so I began using DHC into Dante’sDevil Trigger and go for an overhead, then kill go back to Wright,(you can also TAC into wright to go into Turnabout, but i prefer using it on the 2nd character so i have time to use it on the 3rd) set up Jam Session on incoming another Maya’s Hyper and then unblockable again, hell this character surprised me, and the fact that he has a LOW assist that gains good speed when on Turnabout it makes it better, basically as long as you can grab the 3 pieces and have 2 Bars you can potentially kill at least 2 characters if you set it up correctly.

To be honest i began using Wright because i needed a character whou could abuse the support Dante can provide, and Wright does that very well.

Maybe a lot of you knew this stuff, but since Dante is my main character and I want Phoenix Wright to become more usable in the future i wanted to share this in the thread, i am new to the character, but as far as i know this is the beast way to go into Turnabout without much risks and almost always get it.

Is it so much important an OTG for Wright? I mean you can OTG with Maya…

It could work… but it is not worth it, Wright needs so much that anti air coverage and blockstun that Jam Session provides.

Not really. You need two assists to help Wright in the neutral game and these assists need to be able to use Wright’s assist when they’re on point.
