Ideas for Street Fighter 5

IDK, maybe it’s because the Tekken characters were “new Street Fighter characters” but all the Street Fighter characters in that game just seem stale, including, ironically, Poison. As much as I enjoyed IV, I think the series needs a new direction. Adding things like 3D fighter strings and including running, possibly in both directions, etc. could be something to do with the series.

On a serious note though I just mean that capcom should make more games like 3rd strike. They put alot of love into it and weren’t just trying to cash in. Now its Money over love for them when it should be Love over Money.

You know why they were? Cause at the time Capcom didn’t just listen to people on Xbox live/ Psn bitch about how x character is too strong. And people didn’t have the games holding their hands they had to learn it and go through asswhippings/bodyings to learn the games so they learned to appreaciate that kind of stuff.

Judging from interviews with Ono and Killian, the characters that will be in future Street Fighters are:

Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, Juri, Abel, Gouken’s daughter.

Huh, I was under the impression that no one gave a shit about Birdie.

Make SC5 timeskip - “Mitsurugi Rugged” Ryu, adult Sakura and Karin, mostly new characters. Because I’m seriously bored with original SF2 cast, especially Chun Li.
No ultras.

It wouldn’t happen, considering that they tried this with 3s and like the meme said when SF4 was released

I am sure in the 5 pages some one said sprites but just in case no one did. 2D SPRITES GOD DAMN IT.

Ideas for SF5. How about we all hush up and let Capcom handle the brainstorming. Let it go back to the old days when we let devs…develope;none of this backseat developing,talk with the dev streams etc… If we feel that these games aint up 2 par, lets let the sales tell them that they need to work some stuff out so everyone will want to purchase the game and not a handful.

Here’s an original idea,

In the new Street Fighter have something called a “Style Select”. These are three parameters that can choose kind of like the ultra select.

  1. Execution Style

Choose between charge moves and command moves. Imagine a Ken with a ch.d.u + p dragon punch, and a ch.b.f + p fire ala sonic book. Or imagine Balrog with fireball motions.

Characters with fireball motions have “easier” execution but have alot more recovery/lag on thier moves and not as much hit stuf.

Charge style characters recover much quicker and slightly more hitstun.

  1. Grapple Style

Choose between “Classic” and “Modern”. In Classic style all command throws are 360’s/720’s which are unblockable, and do more damage. Characters are also entitled t one button throws.

In Modern, command throws are easier to perform but they can be blocked (think KOF)

  1. Agility Style

Choose between dash and run. Dash allows back dash and forward dash, also quicker recoverabiliy. Run is more offense, but you dont get a back dash and has more recoverablity.

Honestly, I’d be fine with a Street Fighter Alpha 4.

Parry system, Faster gameplay, More creative characters, Simple gameplay (GTFO Custom Combos)

Don’t care if they use Sprites or not, I just want the parry system!

]Wiff animations for throws: grapplers with a harder time getting in will have safer whiff animations
[]SRKs, Flash Kicks, Flame Kick (Fei), Upkicks (Chun, Dee Jay), Scarlett Terror, Tiger Uppercut: all versions have full invulnerability during their start-up so any version works as anti-air (good anti-airs) and normal move punish

]Skilled players can again go through projectiles with SRK

I would say Koihime is the game for BR but then I remebered Fatal only combos, assist, and supers.

Theory… theory … theory … Just put back the parry system and go from there. Everything will sort itself out.
