u sure meant SJC into U1? because it will never connect.
well u can do that for ~200-250dmg from red ball, but why even bother SJC’ing u1 if u can just sjc U2?

It does connect. SJC U2 does do more damage, but SJC U1 leaves you close to your opponent, at a slight frame advantage I assume?

Maybe Iyo doesn’t go for SJC or tsumuji loops because he has bad execution? I dunno, but it seems kind of silly to pass up free damage opportunities.

It leaves you at -1 on hit, (so you can beat reversals with one yourself), and pretty close to just kara-throw your opponent. Does quite a bit of damage, and if they can’t Ultra or DP in between (like, say, Makoto without Ultra), it does amazing chip damage on block.

I don’t think Iyo has bad execution because he atleast went for st.MP, st.MK back in Super. He just makes sure he’s always consistent.

If it’s not a true blockstring, I’m sure she can simply backdash, then punish.

Nah, it’ll just hit them if they try. Active frames on the orb lasts like forever. I think there’s one character who is kinda airborne for like the whole backdash, so it just resets them. Probably Ibuki.

Or she can just neutral jump then? Cmon it’s not like raida.

Because neckbreaker knockdown > SJC ultra.

Sorry to DP but you might not get the notification. If they try to jump on block they eat the full damage. I think some people online have tried this. Confused me sometimes.

Backdashing (as I thought) gives an untechable knockdown.

I’m sure this has been asked to death, but I’m trying to learn how to SJC. What is the easiest way to perform this motion to get it down properly? I see a half dozen different ways online, and none of them seem to work.

SJC into Ultra 2?

Try doing the Ultra motion slower, and doing the High jump before the rest of the motion, then pressing the :3k: when Ibuki would otherwise jump.

:lp::mp::qcf::uf::hp::qcf: <- you’ll see Ibuki jump. When Ibuki would jump, press :3k: instead.

She’s the most advanced character in SF4 and she depends on good execution on 1 frame setups and combos, footsies, trickery, and smart play.

How exactly is Blanka a bad matchup?

I’d say she’s closer to B tier once you’ve mastered her and if you are on top of your game.

I don’t know how Blanka is a bad match-up, just that everyone is inclined to disagree with me so I just relay what they say.

Well, C-tier doesn’t mean she’s bad when I say, just that there are about 20 characters more likely to win consistently.

I want SFIV to have a player like Kuroda, who can win as everyone, but because of the lack of parrying and some characters with no DP, it’s not possible.

2012 predictions? Not a wish-list, but what we think will happen.

  • Tsumuji more damage/stun
  • cr.MP more frame-advantage on block
  • (and following on to C.Viper’s and Chun-Li’s “easier to use” changes) st.LK, st.MK delayable
