That’s another good reason why I’m starting to love U1; because it makes her stronger in the defensive department, especially on her wake up. I’m going to experiment with U1 these days to come and see what traps I can come up with.
What is this seemingly infinite combo that players online are destroying me with?? It’s like a 5-hit combo that knocks me down followed by them jumping in to start all over again.
Anyone else having problems with her vortex once you have super stocked? Everytime I do SJC -> kunai I get the fucking super. Same deals if I’m blocking low and I want qcb + k kicks… yay for sf4 “easy” inputs.
don’t do sj with TK motion just do d.uf then do the qcf+p while you in the air…
i want to ask asking u2 users do you feel you can hit confirm it after TC …??(( not after jumping attack then TC just from standing TC))
((though i feel this is too early))
Depends on which target combo you’re talking about. If you’re talking about close s.LP, MP, HP chain then yeah I think that’s doable. Confirming right after s.LK, s.MK chain is kinda difficult for me but I haven’t really practiced it much yet either. Though using standing target combos by themselves isn’t very reliable since pretty much all of them have picky hit boxes are or harder to confirm off raw. Like I don’t really use the close s.LP chain much unless I land a cross up and I don’t really use the s.LK, MK chain much unless I confirm it off a c.LP first.
Ok, I’ve been playing 4 for a year now and I never played viper so I’m just now learning to SJC with Ibuki. I can SJC u2 pretty consistently now but I need to learn some better combos.
For starters, what’s the method to SJC the last hit of lp,mp,d+hk,hk? Trying to get the HK dash.
Does anyone ever lose motivation while learning a new character sometime? Last night I think I lost 15 straight and I’ve been really struggling with Ibuki. I keep getting this thought in my head that tells me to just forget about this and it’s not worth it.
^ No, lol. I’m so hype when learning new characters. Just keep training you’ll get better that’s for sure. When SF4 vanilla came out i start maining Viper while she was impossible for me back then. I got a stick just to learn playing with Viper and now my Viper is way stronger than any of old mains (Ryu, Chun). Keep playing with her she’s a really fun character. She might be hard to pick up but once you’ve learned everything about Ibuki she’s a beast.
Yeah I know Ibuki is fun, alot of fun. Back in SF4 I also remember struggling with Chun and Viper during the early days but I just don’t remember it being this hard for me, I dunno. I’ll keep playing, see what will happen in a week.
Dont worry. All unconventional characters give you that feeling. The way to win with her isn’t as cut and dry as it is with Ryu and Balrog so it’s easy to get frustrated. It will take a lot to get the most out of Ibuki so just keep up with it.
The bets way to break it is to block the right way. Look at Ibuki in mid air. If she’s on the left side of you when the kunai is about to hit then block as if she was jumping forward at you. If she is on the other side of you then block as if she was crossing you up. If they know what they’re doing they’ll set it up as ambiguously as possible so it’s hard to tell which way you should block. There are some characters that have a direct escape from the kunai hitting them and setting them up for a free combo but there are a lot of characters that can’t do anything but block the right way. If you keep getting hit it’s because you keep blocking Ibuki from the air the wrong way. The same thing as constantly blocking Blanka j.MK cross ups or Dhalsim instant teleport shenanigans the wrong way. You’re basically getting crossed up over and over and over and keep guessing wrong.
Letting me know which character you use would probably give me a better idea if u have any options to escape outside of block. Though mainly u should just be blocking any ways.
Thanks for the answer. This combo though doesn’t use a kunai- it’s with no cross-up. I was using Ryu at the time, though I’m learning Ibuki.
