I believe to train your hit confirm you put the dummy on random block then do c.lp x2 s.lp s.mk and tsumji if they black or neckbreaker if they don’t or you can make it easy on urself and just do a c. kick for the tsumji. After a while you’ll get use to seeing if they block >> don’t continue with tsumiji kicks if they get hit knock down
I lol’d.
You’re amused rather easily it seems.
Nerd Josh playing Ibuki on evo stream right now. Gogo
Edit: Well that was quick. Got raped by DKN29’s Rufus, divekicking everywhere.
That was terrible
any tips how to execute her TK kunai, i can’t seem to get it with 2369 lp. anything i miss for the timing?
Move the stick back to 6 and then hit lp. Dunno why, but the timing is more difficult if you end with the stick at 9.
moving the stick back to 3 would also work. i personally find it easier to just shift it back to df position.
DevilJin plays Tekken?
So I decided to play this character for real recently and I still don’t know what TC7 is. Back Mk then Forward Mk right? That doesn’t combo.
It’s not supposed to combo.
Then what stops people from escaping?
nothing but it works. You can combo f+mk with any of her lights
Most people can’t react fast enough to reversal dp or backdash or etc.
Thanks for the info
I’ve been using Raida a lot more lately mostly to punished whiffed normals, just wondering when would it be optimal to use Raida. It seems to be able to draw someone from pretty far away if they whiff a normal
Anybody have any success against decent/good Guile players? Ive beaten my share of decent Guiles, but in that matchup (basically all matchups) I depend too much on the vortex. So much so that if I get to grab them, I’ll try to SJC kunai and land on the same side which is extremely risky or try HK CD and grab on the other side on their wake up which is bad because if they see that coming, and do a Flash Kick, it will auto correct and catch u every time. Guile’s Sonic Boom recovers way too fast so EX NB on reaction is out, even from mid range. I have been known to throw out a “psychic” EX NB, but that usually fails. To me, this, Rufus and Boxer are Ibuki’s worst matchups. Any help would be appreciated.
Actually guile matchups are fun like I said in the other thread hien is your best freind IMO that move is punishable by flash kick but not once has a guile punished me since I use it in moderation also focus dash his sonic booms and mk slide to get in there and do damage.
I’m not amazing but I don’t have too much problems with guiles
I also play Cammy and in Cammy vs Guile, it’s very very important that you do not let his booms hit you, even if they’re absorbed. He gains meter and that is not what you want. 2 bars and then he can get out of any pressure situation plus followup U2 if it hits.
Following the same logic as Ibuki, I’d recommend you slide/dodge booms until poke range. Guile has slightly better footsies, but the idea is to make him afraid of throwing booms for fear of jump/superjump past his flash kick range and getting you inside.
@ Snakeeyz- Aren’t you the 2nd ranked Ibuki in the US?
Anyways- I’ve actually never had Guile autocorrect me once I’m behind him. It’ll always whiff for an easy tc4 into vortex. Its quite fun to jump and bait out the Flash kick consistently. My best advice is to fight this battle mid range where you throw slide and it punishes his boom. Knocks about 80 damage out of his health and gives him something to think about when throwing booms everywhere. Free on his wake.
Only thing is his air grab beats mine every single time
