What is the frame data on f+lk? The wiki says that it is +4 on hit, but I can’t get the follow-up jab link, and I also can’t do f+lk xx neckbreaker, which should be possible from the data. Am I bad or is it off?
I dunno about the jab.
f+LK xx Neckbreaker is impossible because Neckbreaker starts up too slow. Just like f+LK xx MK or HK Tsumuji is impossible.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe F+lk will only combo on counterhit, and it can easily go into any Tsumuji.
Yeah, the SRK wiki is wrong in that case. Thanks. It was driving me crazy. Do you know what the hitstop is on her standing MK?
In training room right now. Doesn’t look like f+LK is even +3 on hit. Maybe +2.
Yeah. sfframedata.com has the accurate data, which is +2 and -1 on hit. The SRK wiki also has the damage values mixed up with her b+MK.
It really bothers me that they put a height restriction on her airthrow.
Hi guys.
Question of the day.
While I was messing around with Ibuki vs Ryu in training, to train a bit for TEH UNBLOCKABLEZ, I just realized something weird.
Corner Ryu. Do whatever combo you want to EX.Tsumuji - HK Kazegiri FADC cr.HP - j.LK/MK.
Turns out whatever direction Ryu will input, he’ll block the final j.LK or j.MK. Even with sj.LK, the LK will neither be norma or crossup. I think I missed something here.
Am I doing something wrong, or did I really do the exact opposite of an unblockable, ie a… “total blockable” ? “too blockable” ?
Are you pressing the lk or mk early? Or as late as possible? I haven’t had this problem against Ryus when I do a meaty cross-up. Although against certain characters, you may or may not cross them up depending on the timing.
I know against honda there’s something like that where if you throw him in the corner. I don’t remember if it’s you take a step back or forward then j. lk but he can block either way
I tried many different timings, nothing works. And I’m not saying that it is not a crossup here. I am saying that it is nothing, because whatever direction you choose, you’ll block it. I may do a video to show it, it’s very strange :-/
Is there a list anywhere of all or most the possible safe jump, cross up, mixup setups? She seems to have so many. It’s overwhelming.
Check the Ibuki guide book, its stickied in this section. Heck, read ALL the sticky posts, they’re all there. Check youtube, there’s some good quality videos about her safe-jumps, mixups, tutorials on SJC, etc etc
Just found a good youtube guide. Thanks! Also one last question. I notice that when I do neckbreaker>crossup kunai> tc4 on ryu the third hit (second hit of MP) doesn’t connect. Is this normal or am I messing up?
^It is normal. TC4 does not fully connects after crossuping Ryu (same thing happens if you crossup with j.MK)
About safe jumps, let me quote Mingo’s useful post (which is in my bookmarks haha):

This will be useful for your safe jump training
Somewhere around these forums there’s also a chart listing exactly which combos will work on which characters. It’s a god send if you can’t figure out which TC to use, or whether or not to go for tsumuji loops, and if so, how many loops can you do? Generally I just use lp, mp, hp (1 hit each) to start off my combos if i land a cross-up kunai.
The spreadsheet you’re talking about is linked in the quoted Mingo’s post on my previous post
Hey hey… the Eorup players did pretty good outisde of the team tournament =p
Coungster put Ricky in losers and problem X took him out of the tournament. Tokido vs F Word was a SICK match. jozear is a solid vega. However I think that even if they had played vega match ups. when it comes down to it, the better player wins regardless.
I also strongly agree that online experiance really doesn’t get you that far. Take RedCaliburn, when we first started to play together, she would talk about all the matches ONLINE that she played, but when it came down to playing offline, she would miss so many bnb combos and really had a hard time adjusting to the lack of delay.
She comes to our weekly gatherings now and has improved with leaps and bounds over the past few months.
This only an example and obviously some people can adjust to online/offline delay/lag… I interviewed wolfkrone at Canada Cup and asked him how he got so god, he credited playing online to a good portion of his leveling up. He noted that he met and played some of the best players he has ever faced on xbl. However he also noted that online will never compare to offline game play.
My point here is. Sure you can learn things from playing online, you can encounter certain match ups that you might not necessarily come across regulary (like a vega or a good blanka) but playing someone in the same room as you and playing someone online where you could get ghost inputs delay lag and all sorts of shit just doesnt cut it.
Online is just to inconsistent to really bring you to that next level…
now im just rambling lol
Totally agree.
Online is good to bring you the experience, but offline is definitely a compulsory step if you want to play real good. I used to live in a medium sized city with not a lot of Street Fighter players, so I spent most of my time online, but since I moved in Paris, my level really stepped up, as now I am spending a lot of time playing at local arcades or with people offline…
Wolfkrone plays like 5-10 hrs a day. He claims to work in CIS (computer information something) but I doubt he has any life. He should just move to Japan and go pro instead of wasting time on XBL.
If I had no life and had all that free time to train, sure I’d probably be really good too. But I prefer efficiency.
Well he is sponsored by Madcatz. Idk if that means ha gets a salary… Also I’m pretty sure he lives with his parents and he’s 21 lol
I don’t think i could honestly play sf for 8-10 hours a day, I mean I love this game but damn yo lol
