Ibuki Player Guide (book)

So this puts me in the beginner list, right?

Damn, putting Damascus on blast like that? Cold-blooded. Dictator Mingo, your reign will go down in history as cruel, vicious, and inhumane.

I’m just too lazy to make an avatar now. The generic-ness of my avatar has sort of grown on me at this point.

Anyone got a link that works for the guide? Could really use the guide but every link doesnt work

Doesn’t the crosscounter link still work?

Mingo has a direct link somewhere in this thread. I suggest you guys look for it.

The link doesn’t work anymore because the crosscountertv website is gone.

y hello ther mingo.

Edit the first post with your super L33t Hax0r skillz and put: http://www.mediafire.com/?rgqmzbm1fb909cb
for the book. Kthxbai.

I dunno if Izuna would want that (it’s his thread, after all). I’m sure having that link at the end of his thread would suffice anyways.

This is a great book and guide (thx, Izuna, wherever you are), but I noticed that when I printed the frame data part, the paper used in Izuna’s guide is longer than A4 paper; I had to reduce the content to about 92% of it’s original size. It’s not very printer-friendly, and I was wondering if there is an editable copy around? I might try my hand at making it more printer-friendly.

Ahem The same can be said about your spreadsheets, Mingo.

I thought I fixed my spreadsheets to be more printer friendly? Or at least more pdf friendly. There’s not much I can do when there’s so much information that the chart has to be zoomed out/resized to fit on a page.

I think I may have a copy lying around somewhere. You’d have to pm me for that.

Wait, so the http://ibuki.crosscounter.tv/ link doesn’t work anymore?

It does, but after giving them your emails and subscribing for some spam, it redirects you to crosscounter.tv which is clearly down/gone.

E-sports drama has already begun, and we’re not even part of e-sports yet?

You know, since I’m not a veteran of the SRK community, I’m wondering what the general consensus is on us making it to E-Sports? I played SSB competitively and when SSBM made it to MLG it was considered a great step forward.

This book is amazing, every character should have one of these. Thanks muchly Izuna and everybody else involved!!

E-sports and the FGC have had a checkered past. This is largely due to the cultural differences between e-sports and FGC community, which grew up in very different environments and circumstances, and thus the way they handle the competitive environment is very different. Personally, I’m of the opinion that we should not follow their model 100%, we should take specific elements of theirs that works great (break between rounds, stream quality, commentating quality, helpful tutorial, guides, and aides), and discard others that will not work with us (extreme restrictions on commentating, separation of players from each other, separation of the crowd from the players, etc).

Think of e-sports more like baseball or basketball, whereas the FGC is more boxing and MMA. Two different disciplines and promotion styles, and thus can share similarities, but there are definitely differences that need to be addressed and handled in a professional manner.

Hey, the cross counter link doesn’t seem to be working. Can anybody send me a copy of the guide in like a PM or something?

Yeah it’s still not working just signed up and all that bs for no reason -_-

@Mingo this thread should definitely be closed
