Ibuki Player Guide (book)

What happened to your finger?

=( Cut a vein, or rather smashed, if that were possible.

I also think this might look better. Less distance for the eyes to travel and easier to see the screen if watching the hands peripherally or vice versa

Edit: Or perhaps even picture in picture? Place the hands in an appropriate location depending on what is being show. For most im assuming you can place it where the training dummies special meter is as we can visually see if it’s doing an EX reversal or something as an escape option. This may allow for a larger video to please those others that wanted things just bigger in general… Just a thought!

Hello All, first of all Thanks you for this awesome guide ! quite complete ! i have 4 questions (some more stupid than others :p)

1: is the rev3 still COMING OUT JAN 16 2012 ? and does it work for v2012 of SSFIVAE ?

2: (stupid question) i’m a huge fan of ibuki and i wanna know what is her prefight quote in japanese ! did someone knwo that ? she say “ibuki on the scene” in english but i can not understand in japanese :frowning: if an ibuki fan know that i will be glad to know ! :stuck_out_tongue:

3:your guide is just too perfect but i was wondering if a look-like guide/book is existing for my two other mains characters : Oni, Fei Long if someone have an obscure link for me it will be chrismas again for me

4:is there a precise date for the release of the v2012 on PC ?

PS : sumimasen / sorry for the bad english

@StellarNear

“Ibuki, On The Scene” = “Ibuki, kenzan”!

Guys, how about a good training tip in this player guide topic!

Play training.
Set your opponent’s guard to random
Do a jumpin or whatever

And train to react to his guard to switch either to a true blockstring or your BnB. You’ll improve a lot your hit-confirm reactions.

Have fun!

 1. Yes, 16th is pretty certain right now. It is written with ver.2012 in mind, and any differences with regular AE it ignores. Rev.3 is ver.2012 only.

 2. As Damascus said, it is “Ibuki kenzan”, or いぶき, 見参 。 Which literally means “Meet Ibuki”.

 3. I couldn’t begin to make a guide for either of those characters, but there are other guides out there.

 4. No one knows, but it should be out before the end of January.

Front page has updated. Go Go Go!

**Release date of Rev.3 is pushed back to 23rd. **Don’t worry guys, it’s for a very good reason and it’s to make it even better than originally planned.

Congrates Izuna, for being front page over at Eventhubs!

opps, forgot to add link

 Thank you GunBuster!

Hah, they also linked the Ibuki charts.

The rest of the world getting exposed to how much shit Ibuki players have to learn/memorize.

Just a thing about lazyness, if you put links to the chapters in your video description so people can just click the time code and jump to that part i’m sure a ton of people would love you so much more! I know it’s not hard to do that themselves but eh, every little bit counts?

I’ll do that Evil_Scrag, thanks for the heads up.
EDIT: Done

And yet one of the top comments on the video is, “So people make player guides for auto-pilot character these days?”

I just think that some people look at Izuna, who’s easily doing his SJCs and tsumuji loops for the most part, and just assume that anybody can do it.

I wouldn’t worry too much about troll comments, especially those on Youtube.

I’m not, but plenty of people offline at the arcade say stuff like this too.

=( That’s one of the reasons why I play Makoto offline…

If that’s the case then they probably suck, so you should troll them with Dan or just random.

Or just not give a crap and wait for (or find) better competition.

I kind of enjoy the hate, tbh. But I’ll even TELL other people about her set-ups, how to avoid them, how to get out of them (if they can), and gaps in her attack strings where most Ibukis try to land counterhits, or command dash. They still rage. But then they play against a Viper, and say that, “Oh, I just don’t know the matchup.” (wut? )

Trolling with Ibuki is fun enough. Especially when I stare at them as I do unblockable setups. That REALLY mind-fucks them. Well if I get bored, I just go play my first love, ST.
