I’m new to this section. I’m primarily a 3s Ibuki player from Madison, WI. Hi. :lovin:
I’m not looking for critiques, I just want to showcase some Ibuki pics I’ve done lately. I’m not the best artist in the world, I think my art is subpar, and I’m a perfectionist to boot so I’m not satisfied with any of the art here. =/
I’m trying to come up with some custom Ibuki art, using her 3S MP button pallette, to eventually put on a custom arcade stick.

If any of the professional artists here would be willing to do some custom art of Ibuki for me, I’d be much obliged. I have nothing to offer in return besides reputation to your post, and my eternal gratitude.
Any pose would be nice, but I think a pic of her doing Raida (hcb+p command grab move) from the front, like I tried to do, would be really cool.
because, while it’s easily distinguishable as ibuki, it also looks nothing like her. i didn’t want to be too critical, but the proportions throw me way off. and due to that, it makes me think that i’m looking at a monster from a horror film.
the good thing about the one you chose is that the crotch is cut out cuz the other pictures kinda look like she’s got a package ^^;… on the other hand, i think i actually like the digital coloring over the colored pencil… except for the light effect from the raiden. other than that, if it’s good by you that’s all that really matters.
Your off to a good start and you have a few good ideas but please,
Loose the nipples
The nipples are defying the laws of physics. They do look like thay have been added on. You can make her look sexy without having to make the nipples too obivous take this Statue by sorta toys for example:
You can tell that they are there but they aren’t overly obivous. The material is too thick to see em anyways, she’s wearing two layers not a swimsuit. They are also in the wrong place.
Not meaning to be harsh but I really think you should leave em out.
As for your colouring I like the color in the last picture the best since the pencils add a bit more sutley to the piece. you may wanna try this colouring tutorial out:
And there’s tons of tips and stuff in the tips thread to help tighten up your anatomy as well. The first pic has the most correct anatomy out of the 3 mainly since foreshorting can be quite a challenge.
I think it’s great that your’e doing your own stick art and I hope my comments haven’t been too harsh. Best of luck with your stick.
Edit: Here’s A Ibuki Piece I did yonks ago. It’s not my best piece (has a few foreshortening issues) But feel free to use it

Whoa, Omar Dogan made a tut for coloring? I gotta check that out and take some notes.
But back on track. CptMunta hit the nail on the head regarding that nipple. But the coloring on the ‘latest’ piece you put up is nice. The lighter effect from the glare off of her fist is a good touch.
Also, that Ibuki toy is expensive! :wow: I’d prolly buy a Makoto one though [goes to search Sota for a Makoto toy].

I go with Munta. from the coloring tuts to the anatomy tuts.
plus, if you wanted to add nipples, theres a proper way of doing so.
I still like it anyway. looks more like Mileena from MK though.
