I’m not very picky, I’ll take whatever experience you can offer me. We can do first-to 5 or first-to infinity, haha, as long as my mistakes are being corrected and pointed out it doesn’t bother me. I’ll add you sometime tomorrow.
1AM EST is like 12AM here, I’m in the Midwest so hopefully we can get a good connection.
I’ve been searching but I haven’t been able to find much info on the Ryu match-up, am I looking in the wrong place? So far I have read that standing f.RH to go over his pokes is good, but not to get predictable. I’m having a hard time though, any more info or tips would be nice.
If anyone has XBox and catches me online not watching Netflix, I’ll probably be playing 3s. Feel free to add me, I’m not a super amazing player, but I have a bit of experience with Ibuki and an alright Ken. Been playing since late 2006 with several great players from Einstein’s Arcade/Arcade UFO in Austin, Tx including Mopreme, Fubarduck, Hsien Chang, and some other strong regulars, so if I have any knowledge I can share, I’m more than welcome to, if I can figure out how to put it in words. >.>
Learn her normals and how they fair against each character. Know those fundamentals first before anything else. I’ve literally stomped out some very weak players by just tech, tech, tech f.mk, f.mk, f.mk
Hit her little trials thing up, so that you can know some of her little bnb combos.
LEARN HER MIX-UP GAME. I cannot stress this enough. If a guy is on the ground, you should have 7 ideas in your head on how to make him hit that ground again on wakeup. Shadow stepping is very important too, especially in wakeup mixups.
Learn how to tech. She’s what, the second person next to Akuma with the lowest HP in the game? (Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.) She’s also one of the lowest tiers in the game, too or so I recall. So you need to have some tech game in there.
Once you know all that, then start learning how to really switch it all up, mix combos, mixups and simple punishing normals (anti-air, footsies, etc.) to getting it done.
I have plenty vids of me playing her on my youtube. My PSN is Starslicer and my SN on youtube is Ihatethisshitcalled.
p.s. - Lol at slower. IV’s ibuki is a lot slower in relation to this game, to be quite honest. Also, if you’re taking over some game from IV’s 'buki, you might want to know that Vortex game (as opposed to other options.) is not as good and honestly may as well be avoided due to better options and unless your execution is very, very good.
And by good, I mean, fighting online lag delay, frame skips and still executing that combo perfectly as soon as you hit the ground before they can mash out some ex srk or grab.
