Hey duder would you mind posting either the notation or the vid so I don’t have to go digging through the board? And I disagree with the anti-air sentiment, though making resets safe is another great use for Hulk, especially on those pesky peeps that love mashing.

Yeah, I should of answered sooner since you already tried it but doing 
Mighty Smash after cr. :l: cr. :h: is my BnB starter because it makes it easier for me to hit :s: + Doom’s Hidden Missiles for my SSS xx Mighty Tornado combo.
I use it for both of those reasons actually. And I started off using AA Gamma Charge but I found I get a lot more combo potential for both Thor and Dormammu with Gamma Wave. It also makes Thor’s ground Mighty Spark game slightly more respectable and, of course, having a “beam” assist that also OTGs does wonders for Thor as a mobile threat.
Of course, my team is very versatile and can be run effectively (at least IMO) in any order; and when I run Dormammu/Hulk/Thor, I do indeed use AA GC. Dorm with that and Mighty Spark is too good.
I really need to pick up Doom…
Decided to put a section in this thread that explained the Mighty Strike hit confirms and proper block strings Thor has in the 4th post. If someone would be willing to record some of these things and more as a video, that’d be extremely helpful for newcomers.

no offense but 80% of your vid are stuff and combos that Thor shouldnt do, ever. The current tech is TOD from any confirm, specially when using XF. The only viable resets at high level play are wake up stuff, beam/zoning assist + mighty hurricane wake up/smash H stuff, and corner hurricane resets. I would only use midscreen naked hurricane resets as gimmicks against people who doesnt know the matchup. The kara stuff is worthless, and the optimized confirms from mighty strikes lead to jump loops that further increase the damage output. Using mighty smash early in the combo is also NOT GOOD if you dont have an assist to continue the combo later in the corner

Wow lol, man did I offend you. I’m not at high level, I have fun playing marvel, and I enjoy what I learn and use. Play your Thor your way my man, I’ve seen many thorns play different and have strong success. The only part of what you said I took advice with was the mighty strike that I didn’t finish with a jump loop, cause I was sure I could I just couldn’t get it to work, but you can always see that in a better Thor players vid anyway

It was a video showing what Thor can do. That in itself makes it relevant for anyone looking in this forum. It’s not like you were advertising it as new, ground breaking tech. It was a well made video that went over a couple of concepts. Post it up again. It ain’t botherin’ nobody relevant. Anyone getting offended by something like that needs to take a break for a long while.

haha im not “offended”, but the title of this topic suggest that we only post new tech or useful tech. Posting vanilla 1st month combos shouldnt be “well received” (some actual new users might look at it and take a bad advice on how to play Thor). Now go post an ABC, otg, ABC, Phantom Dance combo at the Wesker forums and see how they take it
this is not just your problem, but the problem of 70% of the other thor players. They think Thor is a bottom tier character that doesnt compete and only works in fanfiction vids and fanmade teams. Try playing Thor with two potent assists and characters against competent players and see how your results change to lots and lots of Ws. I rate him top 25, in the level of Joe and Trish. In fact my Thor is getting to the level of 1 hit = one dead character, then 2xmixups + command grab danger on incoming characters. I even have an “inblockable” now
so some “non serious” thor player is relevant, but the actual ones who contribute with 12/2012 tech are not…
u.u maybe, but everytime i see a Thor on a usa stream it gets bodied. No mobility, no good use of his specials, tech, etc. As a thor player Its frustrating , you know i was not talking about you mr Duck
The title of the topic suggests that this is a Thor combo and reset thread. Where do you get off saying, “only stuff I haven’t seen allowed.”
It was just a guy posting a video. He wanted to contribute. No, it wasn’t top of the metagame, breakthrough technology, but there was absolutely no reason to come in and poop on him like you did. Above all, the Thor forums should accept players of every skill level, because if we’re not, then what’s the point? You want Thor players to get better, there need to be Thor players to begin with. You don’t know Wondered from nobody. He could easily become a Thor forum regular, and the chances of that could’ve gone up had you shown a little bit of decency and discussed with him your points without acting like a jerk. And if you’re gonna continue acting like a jerk because you’re “frustrated” over one or two Thor’s out there that make it on stream–and not find a way to get out there and compete in a tournament setting on your own–then you’ll remain irrelevant.
What happened to you being “done with the Thor forums” anyway? Seriously, take a break. Go out, compete. Play the game. Have fun. Cool off. You spend way too much time in the tier thread.
HAHA. Jesus. I have Serp on ignore (only person on all of SRK), and I forgot about it. So I just saw your post DJ and I didn’t know what the hell was going on cause it all seemed so disjointed and this all seemed to be out of proportion. Then I saw ‘done with the Thor forums’ and its all clicked at what was happening (since I remember seeing him still posting afterwards and thinking why the hell is this guy still here).
