Everyone takes this game too seriously, if people didnt always treat me like SHIT, id be more relaxed and wouldnt feel so bad, but when people constantly fuck you in the ass… say im Seth… and i play a Ryu or Ken… all they have to do is 3 combos and beat my fucking ass.
-They are trolls, don’t give a shit to them. If you play as Seth you have to be prepared to don’t miss. If you miss, then you are not prepared.
I also hate the fact that Capcom wants us to pay 4 dollars a pop for a costume pack. Thats fucking bullshit, thats about as pathetic as asking you to do missions in Dragon Age Origins, BUTTTT you need the DLC to do it. (In game advertisement)

Makoto is TOO hard to use. I wanted to learn her very bad, but she has no match ups in her favor. And you can get punished in so many ways with her its nut (Is not a Makoto player but wanted to be one)
-Good news, he’s gonna get a lotta buffs in Arcade Edition. And yes he’s very hard to play, anyway Justin Wong did it really nice in Seasons Beatings using her. Watch this videos and try to learn something.
Blanka is the easiest character in the game to use, all you have to do against people like T. Hawk is sit back and do ball rolls on him and he cant do shit to punish it.
-Do it against a good player and see what happens. Again: online fights are just for fun!
E Honda is overpowered.
-Learn E.Honda. If you block stand and not crouched, you’ll have some frammes to punish him even with normal attacks (depends of your character)
El Fuerte’s Ultra 2 is broken.
-It would be broken if Street fighter doenst have jump. Learn the matchups, some characters you cant try to hadouken his wakeups, like seth, rufus AND el fuerte. The problem isnt elf, its you.
Rufus Ultra 2 is very cheap.

Ninja Edit: Rather than be mean I’ll give a little insight as well. I used to have a really good local scene, but a lot of us grew up and moved away, which is really what led me to registering for SRK back in 2003 to begin with. I don’t have time to travel all the damn time, and the only tournament I travel to is Evolution. I’m terrible at this game now because I haven’t kept up, but I still find the community and fighting games as a whole a lot more fun to play than other things. At least you have online play now. Continue to take advantage of it.

Either pack your bags and start making it out there, or shut up. When you’re actually at the tournaments no one is as mean to you as they are on these forums and I’m sure people will teach you shit you cannot learn over the microphone… I mean unless you’re just a dick. I’m assuming you don’t travel since this is in the online forum.
Also if you’re going hardcore. You need to be willing to do more than just play. You’re gonna have to learn ALL of the characters (maybe not play them but learn everything about them). Also videotape all your matches so you (or someone more graciously willing than you to watch shitty gameplay) tell you what you did wrong.
No one’s going to hand you 1st place… I mean except for those few tournaments back in the day where they split the pot lol.

Nobody is going to get mad at you for being bad at fighting games. They will get mad at you for being a bitch about it. I am pretty much terrible at fighting games, but I listen to the advice I get, try to improve, and I don’t cry about losing to dumb shit.
As far as getting advice from people, all you have to do is ask and/or make some friends. Everyone I’ve talked to has been pretty forthcoming.
