Just wanted to share. I am making a pcb for a pinball controller for a single game. Well for what ever reason if you want to hack the analog joysticks to a $5 psp replacement analog joystick, it sure beats playing $75+ for an full sized analog joystick.
Take this and wire it like so. I soldered wire directly to the back pads of the PSP controller. In the picture here the guy added pins.

This is how it is oriented up. I tested it in windows and it seems to work.
