unno why you’re having trouble comboing into anything using TC2.

Hey, no need to harp on me. I offer it as a contribution to the Oni community. It makes the TC2 -> slash and TC2 -> tatsu combos easier for me, because I am in the habit of pressing :lk: while I’m still holding :hp: from the TC2 and get Hado instead of slash. This way, I can release :hp: earlier. YMMV, take aspirin for any headaches, Midol for any cramps.
Unfortunately, I dont think so. Tatsu starts with a down input, going to down from forward or back has no effect. I’d maybe do a qcb from forward if oni has a reverse dp k motion (similar to doing walk up fireball using hcf motion to avoid getting a srk)
To me it seems like youre just making things complicated. TC2 xx Tatsu isnt a 1frame link or anything, you have good amount of time to cancel into tatsu after hitting TC2 imo. If you messed up, you just need more practice, and proper practice at that.

While you do have a long time to cancel TC2, I have a terrible time getting accidental slashes when I want to do ground pound instead. This trick might help with that, so thanks shaktazuki.
And another thing. “Show me your abelity” was actually quite funny.
I did more experimenting. 
+:mp:+:hp: xx <any direction> works to pop out TC2.
umm yeah most target combos that start with a direction only require it to be pressed on the first button, then you can let go and even buffer stuff. If the direction needs to be kept then the game movelist says so.

If you press +:mp:+:hp: all together at one time, then press :f: when the :mp: hits, you get TC2 to pop out.
oh ok ill try that, sounds cool, its probably useful to buffer the first FWD of a FADC.
So I went to my local arcade and messing around with Oni, I have to let you know that youre wrong.
I think you probably negative edge the HP accidentally, its not the forward input that made the hp comes out but you letting go of the hp button.
b+mp+hp and pressing forward DOES NOT WORK, it shouldnt work unless its a glitch and since i tested it at the arcades, im not sure if a different outcome might happen on console.
Works on my PS3. Dunno what to tell you.

If you understand the game system, you should know that shouldnt be possible, like i said, unless its a glitch on console. I tested on arcade and its not possible.
Plus, so far youre the only person who’s saying that works.
Personally, I dont care because TC2 is simple enough to not require any shortcut, but I guess I see it as spreading misinformation… :shrugs:

I just wanted him to know that chances that he’s spreading misinformation, for all i know im educating him.
I dont call him stupid etc. Sure he’s wrong but making mistakes(and ESPECIALLY realizing it) is part of learning.
I know his intentions are good, thats why my post was pretty much straight to the point, I didnt call him names and I still gave him the benefit of the doubt by adding that it might be console glitch.
Compared to a lot of “grinding” posts ive seen on here, I dare say that my post is being pretty nice.
