I really wanted to get the TE but it's impossible, build a better stick

Does anyone knows what buttons and stick does the TE uses and where to get them from? I really wanted the authentic feeling. Is there any sticks and buttons that are better than the TE? if so what are they I really want to get my stick on lol.

No lol. Search. theres info all over the place!
The stick uses 30mm sanwa parts for the buttons. As far as the Joystick, i think its a jlf somethin or other, i dunno the exact numbers. As far as there being “better” parts, from what i can tell sanwa is top of the line and it just comes down to preference.
Also, your gonna need more then a stick and buttons. You’d have to hack a controller, or if your on ps3 you could do a cthulu board.

Actually I was thinking about changing the buttons of a joystick that is more available than thte TE. As much as I love building stuff, I don’t really have much time in my hands with school and work.

do what i did. read.
from what i have learned in about 6 hours.
jlf stick
30mm sanwa buttons
cthululu or some odd name
and a ps3 sixaxxis pcb mod kit from shinjn ot toodles should get you on your way.

well there is not much needed to make one now. you can buy the premade casings and all you would need is the parts to screw in. or you can buy a custom made in the trade section for almost half the cost of a te.

6 hours? Jesus.

Cthulhu is a standalone ps3/pc board. You only need the mod kit if you want to hack a sixaxis pad more easily.

The stick uses all Sanwa gear, the buttons are OBSF-30 and the stick is a JLF-TP-8Y (or one of it’s variants).

Get those parts, stick them in a case (with the same layout if your wish) and you pretty much have yourself a Madcatz tourny stick.

Get a HRAP (hopefully you are looking for PS3) and put in Sanwa buttons. The layout won’t be Vewlix but otherwise it is essentially the same thing. You also won’t have turbo but why would you need it anyway? Plus I hear it doesn’t work well.

The HRAP3 does have turbo actually.

yea, just get a hrap3 and change the buttons to sanwa osbf-30, and theres your TE stick.

lmfao Nareg.

but really 6 hous?? http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/4940/seriouslybd7.jpg

ctluhu is only for those that want to switch out the pcb or make it less expensive to dual mod.

Hrap3 aint a bad idea. Grab those parts via lizardlick or akihabarashop.jp

its a lot of reading on shoryuken and a lot of shopping around.
mind you there were breaks where i was playing hd remix every hour for about 20 mins.

LMAO.

But from what I’ve read, the TE uses a HAPP P360 and Wico pushbuttons. :coffee:

they should also have a posting checklist for new users.

“is your question answered by the very first post of the first topic of the thread?”

lol.

Here you go.

Who’s selling full custom made sticks for $75?

Best sound effect ever, god I miss Bob Barker.
