I need MAJOR HELP DOES ANYONE IN CALIFORNIA REPAIR FIGHTSTICKS

one day my buttons were unresponsive so i decided to open my fightstick and change my buttons. Later on that night i sorta got lazy and left it open next to my fan. and since my fan can’t stand up straight on its on i decided to use my fightstick to hold it. well i kinda grabbed the joystick while the top was off and pulled it so the wire ripped directly off the pcb board. i’ve been trying to fix it for a whole year now and there was nothing i can do i’ve try soldering it back on and it still didn’t work. I don’t have that much knowledge about different kinds of parts and stuff so i been screwed for while. My fight stick is a hori real arcade pro ex xbox 360

Knowledge varies, but check this thread out:

It looks like your board is burnt. You’ll most likely will have to replace your board.

This would be a good opportunity to replace the board entirely with something like the PS360that will let you use your stick on both the 360 and PS3.

o i can buy the part but i need help installing it because i dont want to screw up and had paid 45 dollars for it

Huh? The traces look mostly OK. That pic doesn’t make me think PCB replacement.

Those solders are extremely dull in shade. They could be cold soldered (Did you by chance move them before they fully dried/cooled?) Cold solders tend to stop currents flowing properly through the joints. So that might be why.

Well the board still looks in good shape. I would recommend you clean the board with alchohol and resolder the connections usin 60/40 rosin core solder flux. As long as you know where all the wires go of course I think you should be ok.

^^ was gonna say just what zabuza said. Clean with alcohol (might leave a weird residue on the board but as long as it dries all the way its all good) use a solder sucker or braid to clean all that old garbage out of there and then resolder.

Edit: Also that piece on the far left looks like it might be bending over and contacting another point on the board.

ok, grammar nazi.
