I need help! And a pony! The Deadpool Team Thread!

Modok and Hawkeye are also good partners for Deadpool and Ghost Rider.

I do like the idea of Nemesis and may have to try him out. I have been using Doom a bit as my anchor lately with DP on point and GR second. The zoning game with Deadpool and Ghost Rider is fantastic, and Doom missles really helps with the keep away, especially leading into teleport combos or jump S with Ghost Rider. I am still pretty scrubby with Doom, but he hasn’t had to come out too often so far.

My main team is Deadpool Tasky and Doom, but I just made a Ghost Rider Deadpool Doom team.
I use Deadpool’s quick work and Doom’s hidden missiles for heavy zoning (not sure which GR assist to choose or if it matters).
I put ghost rider on point instead of deadpool so I can have the air s quick work unblockable available. In addition, I gain meter with ghost rider so I can do a two bar 850k tac combo from ghost rider to deadpool and then hopefully switch back to gr to level 3.
Finally, Doom is my best character and the center of the team so hopefully no one realizes to snap him in!!!

Magneto and Nova also are a good pair for Deadpool (not necessarily together) Nova Centurian rush hits high and combined with either quick work or teleport give you an unblockable or a nasty mixup. When Nova’s on point, call quick work and do Centurian Rush. Mags beam helps deadpool for zoning and mixups. While running mags perform a gravitational attraction and call quickwork and if they dont block low (which is unlikely from far away) free full combo

I gave up deadpool in frustration when ultimate came out, but I’m curious to put him with GR and Doom anchor, or pool/nova/doom. my vanilla team was hulk/pool/doom. maybe i’ll give that a shot too

I found that Doctor Strange’s Bolts of Balthakk assist is really, really helpful for Deadpool as he can use his L Trigger Happy to make a lot of screen domination, plus he can lure in people super jumping to dodge it and getting a happy birthday when Deadpool can just teleport cancel and actually start a lengthy combo. But I’m having trouble getting my last partner for an anchor as my team is Deadpool (Katana-Rama), Doctor Strange (Bolts of Balthakk), and I can’t think of the last character. I would like a juggling assist like Frank West’s Shopping Cart or something of the sort for mid combos but I’m not sure.

been playing my day 1 team (wesker deadpool dorm), and have been messing around with joe and strider mixed with wesker’s spot except with wade on point. Joe and deadpool make a mean team (4 hit overheads with QW assist is pretty messed up). Strider is simply obvious since vajra causes hard knockdown and doubles as AA. I feel that magneto haggar and pool lost a bit of chemistry so I haven’t had them together since release. haven’t come up with much outside that.

I am starting to find a lot of synergy with dead/ghost/rocket that pendulum assist is really good. I like ghost riders spire for a bit of extra defense.

I’ve been running Storm/Pool/Doom

Storm is really good on point(even tho Pool is my main) his assist Katana-Rama (i wish he said Hot Ramen) helps her to extend combos. In the even a DHC is needed you can easily go into Pool’s cutting time from Strom’s DP Hyper Swag. And Doom using plasma beam helps lock down the opponents for Pool’s tele mix-ups.

So, I went into training mode to see if Deadpool can still reset the ground bounce with his Katanarama assist. After a little while, I came up with a pretty nice combo for Hulk using my team. Has anyone else been messing around with this? Who do you think benefit from the reset the most? Hulk seems to get nice things out of it and I’d imagine Haggar could do some nice things with it as well.

Having trouble deciding on a new anchor for pool and rocket raccoon. They both build a lot of meter so meter hungry anchors are not a problem. Arthur and Hawkeye have been treating me well but frank is also starting to grow on me.

I’m soul searching for a multi-hit assist in between Deadpool and Strider. I prefer not to repeat characters across teams, so Dr. Strange is out of the question as I’m going to run him with X-23 and Doom, I believe.

I’m mulling over the idea of using Chun-Li for her Lightning Legs, but I’m debating the feasibility of using her in a spot other than point. Maybe she runs point with Deadpool and Strider behind her? Thoughts?

I use dante’s weasel shot. But he takes some time to learn so probably don’t go with that unless you really want to learn him. There is of course ammy with her cold star assist. Hell if all else fails just scrub it out with sentinel drones.

I still use Team Merc in addition to a few other experimental teams with Deadpool in them, but Deadpool/Dante/Task is always so familiar for me since they all function similarly in my opinion.
My question is, what would be the better assists to get the most out of the team? JamSession/Horizontal Arrows, or Weasel Shot/Vertical Arrows? I don’t use assists to extend Deadpool combos sadly, not sure if I could since he feels like HSD really kicks in for him, but I do use them to obviously keep him safer and help his overall capabilities.

JamSession/Horizontal Arrows. The vertical arrows just don’t cover vertical space like JamSession does and while weasel shot hold them down for a while it is no where near as damaging as horizontal arrows. And you really shouldnt be extending combos for deadpool. He doesn’t really benefit from assist combo extenders. Now the assist you should use for dead pool is definitively katanarama. It’s the best combo extending assist in the game in my opinion. Well at least for dante.

I’d use Jam Session/H. Arrows. Jam Session is a great anti air and can also be used for lockdown in close range. H. Arrows are effective at filling the gaps in Deadpools zoning and can be used to help your approach. I don’t really see any reason to use the other assists in that team. I guess Weasel Shot could be used as a midrange lockdown assist for mixups but other than that, I don’t see a reason to use it over Jam Session.

Does Dante really benefit all that much from a combo extending assist though? I’m not a Dante player but I feel he could get a lot more out of Quick Work than Katanarama. Dante is already hard to block and with a low hitting assist, the opponent really needs to get lucky to block all the stuff coming at them.

Oh yeah I use him to reset the ground bounce, combo off of throws etc. I mean I can see where you’re coming from but when it comes to getting in I use trish’s low voltage or vergils rapid slash or x-23’s neck slice. But I always use katanarama with deadpool, not just to combo extend with dante but with trish, vergil and x-23 as well.

Alright, thanks for that, I was really curious as to whether Weasel Shot would just outright be better rather than having Jam Session and arrows already.

And Quick Work assist feels much scarier if Dante is on point for whatever reason (as far as my team goes at least). It gives him, if timed right, a left-right, high/low mixup/unblockable almost, and can lead to some easier damage. Fortunately, I rather like Deadpool on point, he just feels easier to get into the pace of things with.

And with that you have on of my alternate teams. Deadpool (quick work)/RR (log trap)/Doom (Missiles). Missiles for lockdown to allow for zoning and pressure with DP and RR. Log trap is good when midscreen and is good for DP teleport shenanigans. RR with quick work and burrow makes for good unblockables with his instant overheads. Then Dr. Doom is well, he’s Dr. Doom.

Also sometimes if I’m not feeling RR I’ll throw in Arthur for a different small zoning character.
