I need help! And a pony! The Deadpool Team Thread!

Yeah, if you’re intent on playing rush down I recommend switching to Iron Man or Wolverine, ore even Spidey. Dormammu is a good character, but he is very much a zoning character

Don’t forget that Dormammu’s jumping.S is a really easy way to cross someone up for a free combo.

I’m using Deadpool (quick work/ katanarama) Zero(DP assist) Sentinel(drones)

I mostly zone with Deadpool and use the DP assist if they get too close. The drones also help if I want to mix it up and rush down.

Just played a little online yesterday and tried out Deadpool, Wolverine, and Iron Man, and it worked pretty well. You could substitute Iron Man for anyone really, depending on your play style. I might try out Arthur, Viewtiful Joe, and maybe Zero instead of Iron Man, but right now that’s my go to team.

Deadpool (Quick Work)
Wolverine (Berserker Barrage)
Iron Man (Unibeam)

Deadpool (Quick Work)/ Dormammu (Purification) / Hulk (Anti-Air)

Deadpool with Hulk antiair is just a bitch to deal with in general. Usually try to save up two meters and catch a character (preferably an assist) with Trigger Happy into Happy Happy Trigger DHC Chaotic Flame (can kill most assists outright). Once Dorm is in play he can use Quick Work assist for teleport mixups into super and Hulk can use it for easy unblockables for retarded damage. Hulk can combo Gamma Crush after regular throw with Purification assist for 60-80%, but you have to call it before the throw.

With three bars I can Cutting Time DHC Stalking Flare DHC Gamma Crush for ~95% on Ryu.

Deadpool and wolv is good! they jus bleed :frowning: I think deadpool and wolv bleed more than most

THE ppl with a fuckin healing factor bleed the most! hahaha

Not really, they have 900/950, which is about average in this game:

Marvel vs Capcom 3/Character Comparisons - Shoryuken Wiki, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Strategy and More!

the most popular combination is the dante/deadpool combo hands down. majority of my friends use that combo and either add in doom/sentinel/storm and on rare occasion dormammu.

I just played the game for the first time this Friday, so stuff might seem a little silly, but my team goes
Wolverine (Berserker Slash)
Spider-Man (Web Swing)
Deadpool (Quick work)

I tend to use Wolverine first to build meter, so I use quick work to create a quick confusing blocking situation with Wolverine’s Berserker Slash- Which as we know can cross people up- and Quick Work. This tends to work out pretty well in a couple situations.

Once I have meter built up, I begin to put pressure on the opponent with Spider-Man’s Web Swing (Because Spider-Man really doesn’t have any good assist, it seems). They either get hit by it or I cover Spidey with Trigger Happy, which can go into Deadpool’s Happy Happy Trigger. In general, my team’s something of a rushdown team.

Again, this is just from my personal experience this short time I’ve been playing this game. People will probably figure stuff out to defeat my current team, but at the moment, things are working pretty well.

I experimented a little today, and came up with a great zoning team:
Deadpool (Quick Time Assist)
Dormammu (Black Hole Assist)
Taskmaster (H. Shot Assist)

With all the assists and each characters zoning tools, only a couple of my opponents were able to get in on me. Plus, if you have the meter, Dormammu’s Hyper 2 (The Ball that goes across the screen), if you wait til the ball is half way across, then do his Hyper 1 (His Flamethrower), you can the DHC the whole team, and it does massive damage

Right now I’m running Deadpool (Quick Work), X-23 (Cresent Scythe), Phoenix (TK Shot).

Run away with Deadpool for a while before going in with some bnb’s and building some meter (Tk Shot helps cover his approach). Then, exchange to get X-23 in. Quick Work helps her keep up the pressure, especially when combined with her hops. Once I have five meters, bring in Phoenix. People get so scared of awakening Dark Phoenix that it throws them off (some will actually stop trying to hit me wholesale), all the while forgetting that Phoenix is perfectly capable of taking out characters without going God Mode. Again, Quick work for pressure, and Crescent Scythe keeps them off you if they get jumpy.

Occasionally, I’ll switch out X-23 for Iron Man (Unibeam) or Chun Li (Legs), because I’m fairly certain that my current three don’t really work as a team. However, X/DP/PH are my strongest characters right now, so I just roll with them a lot.

My current team is Tron(Gustaff Fire), Chris(Gun Fire), Deadpool(Trigger Happy). I’m thinking about switching Tron’s assist to something else, but Deadpool’s has been very effective.

my current team is Ryu (shoryuken, or hadoken), Deadpool(katana-rama, quick work), and Sentinel (the charge one i forgot what it was called). I switch out ryu with viewtiful joe from time to time and i put deadpool in second because i like to aerial team combo all the way to sentinel, and then one more time back to deadpool to take the first guy out and then just combo out the rest of my opponents team.

I’m also thinking about switching ryu, and viewtiful joe for dante, if i can learn how to use him.

I think sent force and deadpools pineapple surprise infinite, (eeerr… loop?)

I got like 14 hits and was Like oohhh shyt! hahaa

My team is Deadpool(quick work), Dante(Jam session) and Zero(ryuji…the uppercut thing). Or I opt out zero for Thor(mighty spark) when I need a tank.

Deadpool, IMHO, is an awesome opener. I feel I can put pressure on early in the match or bring him out to finish off a character. Other than his lack of health, he’s awesome. He’s like my Cable replacement. LoL

My bastardized corner hyper combo starts with Dante:
Million Dollars - X Factor - Million Dollars - Deadpool Happy Happy Trigger - Thor (Whirlwind super)

Zero (a) Dante (a) Deadpool (b)
I put zero first and never switch him out, i have its anti air assist just in case i get snapped, dantes jam session acts as an anti air and combo starter, deadpool acts as an otg. I save him for last because he has good combos with jus one bar and can stand alone with out any assist. He can play keep away with x factor and do massive chip damage. his level three hyper can shut down rush down if need, and he can rush down his self, he really is the back bone and last resort of my team.

Okay, ill go through all these posts soon and try to sort them all out. Good stuff ppl.

A good team to use for all purpose is Deadpool(quick work), Wesker(lowshot), Trish(peekaboo).

Depending on my opponents team I typically like to start Deadpool if I think they’ll go for a low mobility character. As mentioned before Deadpool can certainly zone out a lot of characters. Deadpool has awesome combos and Weskers low shot is good for OTG to keep it going. Trish’s peekaboo is also another way for me to stay defensive. Wesker also makes for a good character to put on point because of his high health and his relative ease of use. But for the most part I always save Trish for last as she’s just a straight up beast defensively and with X factor she can force mistakes using her aerial maneuverability, dive kick pressure, lock down offense. This is prolly my main team. I’m not really a fan of Sentinel but If I were he would make a great fit in place of trish as he has awesome assists and of course he has the best comeback ability in the game. But I really like trish right now.

What do you guys think?

Dante/Deadpool/Taskmaster/

Thats a winning team
