To complete my team. I’ll be honest; I play like a whore, and personally, I’m not the quickest guy around; so I prefer characters that aren’t terribly complex (whether it be combos/move motions/etc.).
After trying some characters out, Athena and Vega sorta fell decently into my team. The third character gets switched around quite a bit. I was using Cammy for awhile. But I decided it required too much concentration to play with her. At the moment, Balrog’s the third man. He does decent, but I feel he is too limited. I’ve gone through (and not liked at all); Beni, Chun, Mai, Sagat, Blanka, Vice and Eagle (and probly some others I’m forgetting). I’ve been eyeing Hibiki for awhile now, but I don’t know if she’s well rounded enough.
At the moment, Athena is usually first or second, and Vega is the anchor (also the strongest; though I play Athena the best since I’m more familiar with her character).
I’d say try Rolento, you seem to like the “pesty” characters. Vega, Athena, Mai etc. So maybe Rolento would be good for you. He’s fast, can run all day if need be, builds meter really quick, easy B&B, zones most characters really well.
Blanka is such a whore I feel too dirty playing him; he’s a monster though, no doubt.
I’m liking the Rolento suggestion. He reminds me alot of Omega Red from MsH, but without … all the life draining stuff. I’ll give him a try
If that doesn’t work out, I’ll try Nako.
Thanks for the suggestions. Oh, I mostly use C and S groove, by the way.
ADDED LATER —
Well I tried Rolento. I used highest difficulty and tried going through Ratio match on Arcade with Rolento alone without a loss/being scathed. Regardless to say, the computer sucks as competition since they would always fall for the same shit.
Anyway, generally, he seems to be pretty difficult to use effectively. Not to say his move motions are hard or anything, but using them all at the right time would seem to be quite a challenge. But wow Biggzy was right, this guy can run Wall bounce out of the corner, backwards roll … scooter jump. I’ll see how it goes when I play some real competition tomorrow.
Okay, here’s the thing. This might sound lame, but bear with me. The joysticks at the University arcade are shit. The left side doesn’t walk backwards properly and the right side has some sticky buttons. The thing with Chun (what I got from her anyway) is that she requires a pretty steady hand to play. Not to mention she has some limited options for anti-air. Combine this with my already unsteady hand, and my Chun was flying all over the place. It was really, really ugly. Cammy is alright.
Anyway, I played Rolento some, and besides the shitastic left side not allowing me to block at times, it went alright. I think no one was used to playing him (he’s rarely played here, if at all) cause I almost ( ) beat two guys with him that usally rape me pretty bad (they’re asian, go figure)
I’m going to stick with Rolento though  Flying around the screen with him is awesome.
