I don’t know if anyone has ever done this type of survey in the fighting game community, but I want to know what the percentages are.
If you could post how many people in your area fall into each category, and only count people who attend tournaments regularly I would appreciate it.
I’m writing a paper about how competitive fighting games are better than other games because of the social interaction. It doesn’t have to be a super accurate survey but the more results the better.
That’s about what we are, so if you could do the same for wherever you’re from it would really help me out. Thanks.
P.S. I’m not counting Smash players since they are sort of their own group.
Just go to a tournament instead. You’ll just get troll responses from this forum. But if you wanted to know, most of the trolls on this forum are
the other 98% here are black.
damn that explains a lot
black btw. everyone i’ve ever played with either at least some fraction of black or mexican
Chinese on my dad’s side and spanish on my mom’s I guess that makes me Cauc-Asian.
I’m white, I play regularly with 3 other white people, 2 black people, and an asian.
I’m white as well. I play frequently with 3 other people - 2 white, 1 Mexican/Indian.
Like a dozen or so black people and one white here that I know are regulars in MD/VA.
My dad is Black and my mom is Portuguese.
So, whatever list that would fall under. As far as the people I’ve played with. The majority I’ve played with were Black and Asian, when it comes to hardcore competition, that is.
Everyone here is Black unless they have pictures to prove otherwise. That’s always been the rule here.
And to be honest I think fighting games are the ONLY genre that would be able to say that about it’s community.
You know what? I don’t “think”, I KNOW.
I’m as Asian as apple pies at a baseball game.
Half white, half latino here
