His level 3 never really sees much use. I’m guessing it’s just going to be better if you save meter for Gimlets.
Hey guys I’m thinking about Deadpool/Hawkeye/Ammy for a team. Someone said earlier that cold star could cover Hawkeyes one zoning weakness and Hawkeye would be able to cover Deadpools hit and run strategy, which is the way I use him.
I think it’ll be used in situations where you know super scatter shot into golden shower will not kill a dangerous character so you use lvl three to make sure. Plus it’s amazing for trolling, one the most creative 3’s in the game.
I hear people say hawkeye can’t shoot downward but it doesn’t seem to hard to do the roll command then poison arrow down really fast watch Maxs vids and you might see what I mean.
Also I think if you hold H you can aim arrows upwards then fire some normal ones to cover both area’s but yeah Wade and Clint might be BFF’s they just fit so well together on paper.
Playing a zoning specialist as anchor generally isn’t a very good idea, when you are down 1 character vs 3 characters you don’t have the luxury to spam arrows/beams/bullets at will, especially without an assist protecting your space. There are exceptions like Arthur with lvl 3 X Factor but I doubt Hawkeye will make that good of an anchor.
Like I said the whole anchor argument for me was that I wanted X23 at second more than I do Hawkeye. I could point X23 and put Hawkeye at second but X23 can’t handle the role of a good point and I don’t think her buffs will change that. I think I’m gonna roll with something like Nova/X23/Hawkeye day 1.
It seems like Deadpool/Hawkeye/Ammy will work very well. On paper, Hawkeye covers Deadpool and Ammy covers hawkeye. So godlike.
I don’t know if I completely agree with this. Zoning anchors can work just as well and sometimes they get the upper-hand not only because their game plan is more safe, but it also nets them more chip damage. A rushdown character can’t mindlessly rush without assists either, so the assist thing goes both ways. Rushdown characters do have the advantage of turning their hits into bigger damage, though, so I can agree on that.
When I play MvC2 (And I know the games aren’t really comparable) I prefer to have Cable as an anchor instead of Magneto, just because the safe, frustrating attribute of zoning may cause the other player to slip up.
My two cents.
I like how he actually will make any team better.
Rocket Raccoon/Ghost Rider/Hawkeye
This team sounds so scary on paper…
Rocket Raccoon is seriously lookin frightening now, maybe even better dante when he was first debut’d and we KNOW what he went on to do.
No…Dante is by far the best character to debut because he had no obvious weaknesses and later we found out…he had NO weaknesses! RR on the other hand have obvious problems with rushdown and pressure in his face because his normals are…well if someone like IF or Wolverine gets in he’s done and I’ll stop there.
RR with Hawkeye is gonna be great but I’ll stick with Deadpool and Cap on point then Hawkeye because I don’t like characters useless up close.
Until Wesker and his safe teleports blows it up. This will be a fun team to play because it’ll be all or nothing, if you follow your plan you could keep them away the whole game and cause crazy ragequits…or you can get happy birthday’d alot and blowed up in seconds. I’d actually like to play against someone using this team just to see how it’ll work.
I had planned to play a similar team. Ghost/Hawkeye/Dorm and RR/Hawkeye/Dorm.
I think the scattered arrow assist will probably work pretty well, but I guess this depends on the matchups a lot
I keeping liking his Scatter Shot assist less and less the more I look at it. It always goes a set distance and disappears if you are too close to the corner. Albeit, it’s still pretty useful, but I see a lot more mileage out of his horizontal shot.
Yeah, I’m almost positive that Triple Arrow will prove to be his assist of choice for most teams. Of course the other two will have their uses; I can’t say it’s not tempting to slap a Poison Tip on the end of an already damaging BnB.
triple arrow will in fact be my assist of choice because of its great durability and solid mixup gains. I think scatter shot will improve zoning techniques for characters who don’t zone as effectively.
And the combo extension opportunities.
Do we know how the durability is looking on Triple Arrow? Like Taskmaster fully charged good? (They cancel Lvl 3 Zero Busters. -.-)
well I dunno from what I have seen triple arrow won’t beat beams very well, especially doom’s in this case. I look for them to destroy fireballs, maybe dorm’s finger shot? If triple arrow even trades with aim master I will be leaping for joy.
triple arrow assist is the fully charged version, yet it’s still quick to provide my main (X23) M feint mixups.
I will be using Scatter Shot assist with Hawkeye on point because its a much better super to THC with.
Eh what? Im sorry Im confused, I don’t get your post.
Im definitely trying him as anchor
aside from the obvious range game and potential XF3 chip game, it looks like he has solid range on both low and high normals.
**Question: Can Clint double jump or wall jump? **
