Sorry I’m going Cap/Hawk/Doom. I already have the Missiles for a pressure assist and then use poison arrow for an OTG for huge damage on my already long ass meter building Cap combos.
I’m so lucky I play so many characters getting buffed yay! Pool/Task/Doom will likely still be my main team tho, they have got me through some tough times.
Im curious, what makes you guys think he is gonna be a good battery? He doesn’t look like he will be capable of pulling off them mad long combos and he doesn’t seem to have a substantial amount of health so I was curious as to what made y’all come to this conclusion?
Did everyone see that in the second video maximilian posted that Hawkeye’s gimlet hits BEHIND him as well? This moves looks great, average damage but VERY fast and amazing tracking. Truly Clint is the master marksmen of umvc3.
Also the video showed how hawkeye can combo into both of his level 1 supers. I hope his level 3 starts up in under 5 frames, a level 3 that starts up as slow as Iron Avenger is quite annoying during xfc cancels.
Oh yea, Steve Rogers/Clint Barton/Tony Stark in that order. Get @ me.
I agree but typically strong zoning character make good zoners because their special keep the opponent out to do chip damage while constantly using their specials which builds alot of meter.
Personally I’m bringing in Hawk when I have at least two meter because that gold arrow super will punish the fuck out of assist lol.
Does anyone know if the poison will still have effect on a character if they switch out? Like if they come back out with like no health will they instantly die?
Poison tip doesn’t do red bar, it only ebbs away at their normal health.
Yes it’ll still affect the character when they are subbed back in, but only for the remainder of time that poison tip i still in effect.
Poison tip will continue to affect any given character for the allotted time poison tip works, unless they hit hawkeye. Either as a character on point or as an assist.
I think Hawk will be all about annoying arrows, ala Trish. Some of these comments on him being a battery and doing damage don’t seem right. This guy looks like he’s meant to annoy, any which way possible. And he’ll still need assist to cover his basis.
I agree with forever zero, I don’t think it would be worth it to use hypers if your main point character is still alive and has a decent amount of health. I think his main point game should revolve around him ninjing around the stage shooting arrows and annoying the other guy, then switching to the point once you have the opportunity.
Dorm can be a great anchor, just for his lvl1 Chaos Flame and damage. Hawk will be best filled as a assist (second), since his 3 assist look good in any situation. I think you should find a point character.
I agree with foreverZero, in that order your options open up substantially, and I am one of the biggest fans of anchor dormammu. I think that could be a potent team. Only Issue I see is a lack of synergy when it comes to them alternate costumes since dormammu and hawkeye are probably the only two characters who don’t have a single color in common.
Dorm and Hawk have nothing incommon in terms of looks, personality, and yeah…colors lol. Dr. Strange would be something else with Hawk and Dorm (and Strange looks good next to Dorm). This is one team I’ve been thinking about actually…the only problem could be Strange’s advanced setups on point could hammper this team. BUT Hawk/Dorm assist could fill in the blanks for those setups. (Theory fighter right here)
IDK. I just don’t think a person should have an entire zoning/spamming team. People will find ways to break it up at one point. I feel someone robust should play point, with Hawk (2nd) and Dorm (anchor) in that order. Dante, Vergil, wesker, could fill as point characters well.
Yea I don’t even try to build teams with any of the new cats yet since we know so little about everything about them particularly their assists. I mean remember when everyone(myself included) was hyped for hsien-kos gong assist, thinking that would be the assist of choice and then the game dropped and i’ve never seen anyone use it. With that said I do agree, Im not a fan of one dimensional teams, I like having a variety of play styles so you can switch your shit up on the fly depending on what character is on screen and shit.
