Poison tip is the perfect OTG assist for me, so I can waste my ground bounce with Air Delta Kick, re-launch and the do the air series and land, call Hawkeye, Level 3, YEAYUHHHHHHH.
OTG is strictier in Ultimate, so I’m not too sure about poison arrow assist just yet. Scatter shot and triple arrows will be Thor’s assist of choice.
Can’t be stricter than the fact that Capcom decided to nerf Felicia’s OTG move by removing hitstun, so I’m gonna have to rely on some sort of OTG at this point. /feelsbadman.
Also, the nonscaling element of poison shot makes it REALLY GOOD as a otg assist. (Even if it’s just the bonus damage)
I love the fact that poison does damage with the poison even as a assist. But I need to know if you catch two characters and do the poison otg to extend the combo do both enemies get poison or just one?
I think it would only affect one character. It will probably have Wesker’s gun shot properties where if you catch 2 people after an air series, you can only OTG gun shot one character. If not, that’s pretty godlike. XD
Damn. During Max’s video, Ryu got poisoned by Hawkeye and it did like 35% DMG (over time of course) but that’s a lot for a none super move, especially if you can combo into it.
Poison Tip damage is off the scales lol. Glad he’s got something a little cheap at his disposal
Poison arrow will be the go to for OTG into golden arrow. I know it’s all red damage, but it could potentially do more than having a scatter shot combo ender. Pretty scary prospect for the other team to deal with if your snapping in is up to scratch.
35% damage is more than most lvl ones, and as good as the low dmg lvl 3’s (ryu has ~1mill right?) I’m pretty certain you guys are either seeing that wrong or its getting nerfed 
Y’all check out maximillians new video? It focuses more on strider and vergil but there is some intriguing hawkeye gameplay, he does a nice combo where he otg’s with the scatter shop hyper and then tags on the tracking hyper to the end of the combo for some extra damage. Watching Max’s video, it sounds like it’s a Level 1 version of Gravity Squeeze due to the fact he says it hits anywhere. Actually near the end of the video, you can see Ryu is clearly behind him as he does it and he STILL gets hit!
I’d also like to see some Hawkeye meterless combos because I feel like he would be an awesome battery character.
Agreed on him being a good battery character. I’m thinking right now of using him with either Vergil Strider or Firebrand to build that meter for them. Thinking Strider right now because of that teleport kick assist.
Him and Vergil would work wonders together. Vergil is basically a meter eater with his Level 4 hyper and the fact his swords use meter to change forms. That and his orbs don’t really look that useful from what I’ve seen, so he could use some cover. I’m not sure what Vergil’s assists are, but hopefully something that can get opponents off of you or create mixup opportunities.
Yeah I was really looking at Vergil for the longest time, but his assists look kind of lackluster for Hawkeye. The best looking one is his Rapid Slashes, which according to Seth has a little invincibility, but it’s been shown being beaten out so I don’t know. His other assists are M Judgment Cuts which could be decent I guess, and whatever his Beowulf uppercut is called.
Same reason why I’m not thinking Firebrand. I want to play him and it seems like he’s gonna love the meter, but Hawkeye doesn’t particularly need any of his assists unless one of them has some sort of invincibilty I’m not aware of.
I’ve been having a similar problem where all the other new characters I want to try don’t have the best assists for Hawkeye.
Indeed, that’s why for now I’m thinking Strider. That assist looks godlike. And doesn’t it get a hard knockdown or something? That’s like a free poison arrow every time it hits.
