Heres the gameplay he is referring to for any not in the know http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pmGy4OMmpQ&feature=player_embedded I liked it, but I think what I liked the most was the poison arrow ender to his combo, pair that with a dhc and your looking at a LOT of damage since your opponent wont be able to stop the poison since hawkeye isn’t on point. Another interesting tidbit from the video was the combo that killed him, the exact same combo did 90 percent to dr strange, so unless they tweaked nemesis’s damage(which is probably what really happened) hawkeye seems to have more health than I initially expected since it took that full combo, a lvl 2 x-factor and 2 other hypers to kill him.
The keep away also looked really good, he looks like arthur except with better mobility, better health(Im assuming), better damage and just better overall. Of course this is completely speculative so who really knows.
Magneto (considers guns primitive homo-inferior weapons), Cap (after WW2,only uses them in wars), Thor (although he abstains from ALL long range weapons) could be added since they hate guns.

After using him a bit at PAX I have to say I’m kinda excited to dig into him deeper. I feel he has a ton of potential to zone the living shit out of you.
Just fresh from playing at LA Fight Club, had a 30+ win-streak with the team Hawkeye/Deadpool/Arthur.
Lemme just say, Hawkeye is a zoner’s dream. Here are a few notes:
Normals

[]df.H is AMAZING. This slide reaches so far and is pretty damn fast, I dare say it’s better than She-Hulk’s Vanilla slide.
[]f.M is the taser bolt thingie.
[]b.H is a single arrow.
[]f.H is his double kicks, gives you forever to hit-confirm into launch if you land it.
[]j.H is a godlike normal. It’s when he twirls his bow around in the air, and it has a huge hitbox that’s active for a very long time.
[]j.S can cross-up and has a nice hitbox coming down. Picture something between Wesker’s j.S and Deadpool’s j.S.

[]Triple Arrows are sick. They’re extremely quick on start-up, and if you hit someone out of the air with it, they remain in hit-stun for a good amount of time. However, it’s hard to hit a crouching character when you do normal jump + arrows, but I may have been timing it too early.

[]A cool combo I did was jump + Triple Arrow + Arthur assist, (land) Net Arrow. If they got hit by the jumping Triple Arrows, the Net Arrow would hit them. I didn’t know what to follow up on, though, but I’m thinking Poison Trick Arrow OTG.

[]Electric Arrow (QCF+H) has a good amount of hit-stun… and it’s a medium durability projectile. Has a bit of start-up.
[]M Volley (DP motion, when a bunch of single arrows come down) is great for lockdown. It has a long start-up, but if an opponent is hit out of the air with it, you have forever to combo them as they come down, and if they block it, it holds them down for a really long time. Extremely effective at preemptively stopping super-jumps, and if you see them get hit by it, you can do a jump + net arrow and do some further damage.
[]L Volley is the small dynamite arrow that hits the middle of the stage. I didn’t find it super useful, but I would do it if I had nothing else to do when they were in block stun from M Volley.
[]L Trick shot makes him do a short hop backwards, this is the one I used after air series to OTG xx into Super.
[]M Trick shot makes him do the roll forward, but I didn’t find it too useful to zone them out.
[]H Trick shot will probably be his most used offensive tool. It’s a flip forward, but if you input a button early, it’ll hit from the front. If you leave it out, it’ll flip around them. I didn’t get it down by the end of the night, but when I get the game, I’ll be doing slide xx H Trick shot (front or cross-up) into H Chain Arrows > j.H while coming down > into combo.

[]QCF+2P is a really awesome super-jump anti-air, and it’s a pretty decent punish. More of a utility super.
[]DP+2P (Scatter Shot) is a perfect super for team chemistry. If you instantly DHC out of it, the bomb arrows will still fill the screen up. Extremely useful for characters such as Hsien-Ko and Arthur.

[]Most of you know about the Triple Arrow assist, but his Volley Arrow assist extremely useful, and it was the one I used for most of the night. You can do some sick cross-up set-ups with it, and if they get hit by it, you have forever to confirm into a combo, and it keeps them in blockstun for days. Again, good super-jump anti-air as well.

From the get-go I wanted him as Thor’s assist. These changes just sealed the deal. Iron Man is gonna have to make room on my team, because Thor/Hawkeye are gonna be best friends.
Hmm now I just gotta think of teammates for him, guess time will tell cause i got nothing right now. As an aside, who do you guys think he is gonna have specific dialogue with? Off the top I think he has to have with taskmaster, and probably a couple of the other avengers. Can’t think of any capcom character he might take a shot at though.
I can see something with him and Vipor. Something along the lines: “All those nifty toys…wait til you get a load of mine.” Probably referring to all the arrow types he has.
With Chris I can see: “You got a weapon for every situation…I got an arrow with for every situation.”
Even HsienKo: “I pull my stuff out from my pouch…you pull yours out underneath your sleeves?”
Same my two teams as of now are Ghostrider/Strange/Dormammu and Thor/Hawkeye/Tobeannounced… As of right this minute its looking like either Cap or Hulk…
