Do all PS3 sticks work on PS4?
Don’t have a PS4 stick yet and I played my fighting games on 360 previously. I was thinking about picking up the Guilty Gear Ps4 stick, but if Ps3 sticks work, I might get something else.
Only PS4 compatible sticks work on Guilty Gear for the PS4.
To clarify this. All of the ps4 sticks that have been coming out work on both ps4 and ps3. While ps3 sticks work only on ps3.

Until more products, games and accessories comes out for the new gen consoles; expect more items being sold out.
We stop seeing major issues with PS4 compatible sticks when the install base gets bigger and PS4 moves into mainstream, and perhaps PS3 being discontinued.
Any idea when I should expect to see more in stock, if at all? Based on previous stick releases.
Does that mean I shouldn’t expect to see them restocked on MadCatz store?
If I understand correctly, PS4 controllers are backwards compatible, but PS3 controllers aren’t forward compatible. So, companies can label controllers/peripherals “PS3/PS4” as they’re PS4 controllers that still work on PS3.
If that were true there wouldn’t be a PS3 and PS4 switch on the fight sticks, one mode doesn’t work with the other console
Yes and No.
The Sony PS4 dual shock 4 controllers are backwards compatible but only with basic fuctitionality. The Hori pads and sticks and the Mad Catz sticks ( for now ) have a switch to change from PS3 and PS4 modes. PS3 controllers don’t work on the ps4 with the exception of certain games that decide to include the drivers for the controller.
The supports for ps3 arcade stick on ps4 depends from the software.
I’ve tested hori Real Arcade pro 3 SA (PS3), mad catz TE SFIV (PS3) and hori wireless arcade stick Tekken 6(ps3) with Mortal Kombat X and everything works fine but you have to use 1 ps4 pad to use the stick.
So if you want to play with another player you have to use 1 ps4 pad for arcade stick.
While with DOA last Round Core edition doesn’t work anything.
I’ve also tried Hori real arcade pro 3 SE (xbox360) on Xbox One with Dead Or Alive Last Round Core edition Demo and killer instintc but doesn’t works

Mortal kombat x uses the SG ps3 driver for legacy devices… If guilty gear uses the SG ps3 driver any ps3 stick would work with it also.
