I’m having a little trouble with this one too. Specifically the timing from after Spiral Swords into Lunar Phase, is there a delay? I always end up whiffing the last kick that sends them to the ground. Everything else, I have no problem doing.
You can go into swords at any stage, I normally go into it after dp.L -> mhs -> s.H -> lvl 2 stinger -> wall bounce -> judgement cut, c.H, swords or trick m, c.H, swords. Lots of meter usage but its solid damage. If anyone has a better combo please do tell!
The OP doesn’t seem to be comprehensive. Someone mind helping me out? If I’m picking up Virgil what are the BnBs I NEED to know? He needs an OTG Assist, right?
He doesn’t need one, but if he has one he can get more damaging combos and easy confirms, ie. catching someone with j.M, j.H. j.2H, OTG, roundtrip, etc. See the video dead acid posted above for an example of an otgless combo.
i don’t know if you’ve already got the timing down but something that helps me is to delay the s.swords after the judegment cut so they’re a bit lower then usual and they won’t be too high for the ground bounce.
For your DHC into spiral swords corner combo, how do you do the stinger into M trick round trip? I keep missing the round trip as it always comes out too late and it seems impossible! Do you have any tips on how to land it? Maybe I’m missing something.
In corner:blahblahblah->spiral swords->Lunar Phase->Lunar Phase->cr.H->stinger->round trip->cr.H->judgement cut L->cr.H->lunar phase.
when you hit them with stinger you cross under them after the wall bounce. Just do the cr.H->stinger as fast as possible after the Lunar phase ground bounce, then wait until they go up and behind you and let go of round trip.

I was messing with Doom missiles for Vergil to see if I can use the otg missiles somewhere to get another sword loop but haven’t figured out how to yet.
Does anyone know off hand if otg missiles -> round trip or maybe TK round trip to start another loop even works?
I’ll try out some late combo extensions (where j.MMH2H no longer works) later. I think Lunar phase could give missiles enough time to hit but I haven’t tried it
Nice glad to know it works in some form. Now to incorporate it into a DHC extension combo instead so I can get 4 lunar phases and some round trips and we’ll be money.
I do cr :h: + doom missiles xx lunar phase, and it is just shy of otg’ing so I need to find another way. Calling doom first and then doing cr :h: xx lunar phase works, but the loops are all specials and they are pretty tight in timing so its hard to separate the assist call and the normal or find a good place to call before specials.
Don’t mean to be a pain about the quality, but is that a Judgement Cut after the RT into Rapid Slash? Or better yet would a notation be possible por favor?
I use missiles as my otg after switching viper to burnkick and 5H~missiles,5S, sj.MH2H, land, jump back, wait (quite a bit), release round trip (at about when the first missiles hit), land, then either swords and then lunar phase or just lunar phase depending on what you’re going for next works reliably at any point in the combo where sj.MH2H still connect. You can’t have the opponent in the corner, of course, but thanks to 6H,214M that never is a problem.

I already know about the launcher into OTG Missiles, but I was trying to find a way to use missiles to OTG after I DHC into Vergil and do corner spiral swords stuff. But thanks anyways.
I’m not experienced with Vergil so I don’t know how to be flexible in his combos and everything I’ve thought of to try to make the missiels OTG during corner loop doesn’t work (except for one scenario but the damage is not as high as I want it to be).
In case anyone is curious this is what I’ve come up with:
(No ground bounce or wall bounce used yet).
Corner DHC into Spiral swords, j:d::h:, j:d::h:, Round Trip, cr:h:xx:l: Judgement cut, cr:h:xxLunar phase, cr:h:, :f::h:xx:l: Judgement cut, cr:h: + Missiles assist, :f::h:xxLunar phase, (Missiles OTG), low TK Rount Trip, cr:h:xx:l:Judgement cut, Lunar phase.
I haven’t tested out this combo with full hitstun yet but I think the 2nd stinger when you are close to the corner won’t cause the opponent to pop out. If that doesn’t work then probably have to omit the whole bit and call missiles when you do the first wall bounce stinger and connect that into a Lunar phase instead. Builds a ton of bar, since everything after the first Round Trip builds bar.
