I Got Next | A Documentary on the Fighting Game Scene

It was an interesting watch, although it just felt like watching the pros state the obvious.

Needs some DarkPrince.

Your the best Ian. Thanks for uploading both definitions of the film. Plan on seeding both after I download them.

I watched the documentary online and loved it, I just downloaded the HD version and I’m make a donation asap. Everyone of you guys should do the same.

Yes I’m sure this thread is big enough that everything about this video has been covered, but I just wanted to chime in and say that I honestly truly loved this video.

Not only does it explain why Street Fighter IV is so important to the community, but why fighting games in general are so great. I’ve tried to explain to people many times why I enjoy playing these kind of games, but I feel this documentary and especially much of the stuff Gootecks says sums it up nicely.

There’s also a nod to Street Fighter IV’s netcode helping the community as well which I like.

My only regret is that I wish I had seen this when I was younger, as due to the difficulty of explaining my passion of Street Fighter to people, I was forced to move on to other more “practical” things.

QFT. If you freaking out about the size, delete it after you watch it. And if you don’t have 2gigs to spare on your computer, start deleting some of your porn.

HD torrent! Thanks man, much appreciated.

Now, we can talk about a “legendary fighting documentary”, and when the next generation asks, “Where is it?!” we can be all like,
“oh, it’s right here.”

Aah, feature-length’s gonna be great, I can feel it.

Have someone singing indestructable on the movie! That would be golden.

just got the hd version. the videos lags alot in some parts but if its from the live stream then i understand

I didn’t really get any lag when I watched it for the second time.

i get scared watching that video.

and yeah a lot of it was obvious but i was happy to see another side to these pros and i like them alot more now.

like LIjoe. seems like a real cool guy.

So, basically they all are jobless? Where do they get the money to finance their lives? Just from the tournaments? Nah, can’t be. Interesting documentary, but it’s sometimes hard to understand for a non-native English speaker. Seems like there are a lot of friendly people around in the scene.

Looks like a lot of people are definitely enjoying the HD version!

^ This.

Was great, enjoyed it thoroughly.
Needs more Daigo :expressionless:

I’ve been holding out on watching this until I could watch it in a higher quality format without the
laggy choppiness of streaming it. I can’t wait to watch it

Dang I want that upload speed… I hate comcast and how they give you good download but horrible upload speed. Ruins my torrent ratios

But still, watched it and it’s really good, loved how you showed the best parts of the clutch matches. I had one question though, would there be a way for Ian to release the renders he used for the characters (when he showed the player’s name / character)? They would be really cool for making sigs and avs, because they’re such high quality rips from the game.

should add the blazblue community also^^. not just sf4 lol

Part time jobs I’d assume. I think combofiend works a normal 9-5, as does LI Joe. Justin is a student IIRC so that speaks for its self.

Gootecks seems to be able to pull in money just by being a classy guy…

Don’t know about the rest of the “cast” but I’d assume most are working nromal part-time stuff and enjoying life while they’re young!

Just watched it.

When the Hellsing music started i was like “oh shit ! i know this shit” took me like 15 minutes to remember where i heard it.

Most entertaining documentary i have seen in a long time.

I went on vacation and the video didn’t get uploaded to veoh.
Heres the link to veoh if anyone still wants it.

For some reason they make you download some random software. So if you don’t want to download anything don’t use veoh.
