Damn I remember when dudes weren’t even trying to talk to you at NEC. Much respect for sticking with it & building it into something great. You should see what’s good with showing the final version @ Evo. Also don’t be shy to sell the DVD, if only to cover the cost of the disc it’s burnt on.
:tup: Looks great, quality is crisp, music is good, direction seems on target. There’s so many of these “lolz lets make an SF documentary” ideas being tossed around, but it’s clear you actually have the knowledge and drive to make a good one. Keep it up, hope we hear more about this soon.
I want to speak for Ian on this one cause he is a little humble haha. This man is as hardcore as it gets. Hes dedication to this film is as strong as the players dedication to travel, compete and get better. This is really going to be something else when finished. Very proud to have a spot in this film. Ian, anything else I, or anyone on Long Island can do, please let us know… WE IN THERE!

Seriously I’ve watched this trailer like 4 or 5 times now, everything about that trailer is hype and top notch. I agree don’t be afraid to put a price on that DVD, this kind of support and dedication to the scene deserves to be compensated, if only to help lessen the cost of the porject on yourself. If that is just not your style put that donation page up ASAP, serisiously this is the kind of thing I would be honored to donate towards.
Everyone in the scene needs to hype this to the fullest, let people know about this. From the looks of it the doc is gonna be done with such high quality that it’s not gonna just appeal to the niche fighting gamer players, but to those who just enjoy a well done doc.
I seriously can’t wait for this things full version, I’d be first in line to buy a copy!

From a film students perspective the trailer was pretty decent. Video editing was fine, quality of footage was perfect. Only thing I would change is switch to a boom mic during the first interview with gootecks. I could barely hear him outside because of the background noise. Other then that great job man. Cheers
EDIT: Do you plan on adding a storyline to the movie or is it going to be a bunch of random tournament videos / quotes from pro’s? Maybe something like Fist full of quarters documentary, which has a protagonist make his way up the ladder of world records only to have a something happen which forces him to try even harder to obtain top ranking status aka World record holder in donkey kong.
