This is my point, a large # of us who attend events watch streams as well. And even those that DON’T attend events shouldn’t be looked down on for it. Look at the large amount of spectators that starcraft has that don’t play the game, let alone attend tournaments for it. I’m sure that community doesn’t have a negative connotation for their ‘stream monsters’.
Some starcraft players have 500K+ contracts - that is pro gaming. We need to embrace our stream monsters to ever dream of getting to that level.

Chat should be turned off for any big stream… how do you think it looks to advertisers when they jump on a stream to see what its all about, and then see the shit that you have to suffer through on your average chat?
