you have to knock them down with S, jump and do an air B TK shot which OTGs (hits them while they are lying on the floor) , and cancel in into phoenix rage.

Good god, I thought the game had sped up or something when I was in X-factor Dark Phoenix mode and just casually spamming projectiles. My friend never stood a chance.
Yeah what i just found out is that not only is your damage augmented even more at level 3 X Factor but your speed is as well. You get a bit faster as level 1 x factor already but if you’re in level 3 x factor you’re EVEN faster. Which D.Phoenix is already one of the fastest if not the fastest characters in the game so at level 3 x factor she’s just crack fast.
I read something about a fly cancel trick with phoenix…does anyone knows how to do it?
You know… I swear I’ve seen her cancel into fly mode during an air combo and continue it…might have been in her reveal video
Yeah tigerknee the TK shot, and cancel into phoenix rage…had me stumped for awhile but eventually figured it out…
on another note, air :h: 's cross-up’ness is amazing and air :s: has amazing range!
Finally got the game today(which may be release in US, it shouldnt be out til the 18th over here) and god she is so much fun. It’s not easy, but she is totally worth it. Getting ahold of all she can do…mmmm I can imagine it. Did once tip over the assist button today, poor phoenix overdrived straight into a Shinkuu Tatsumaki, needless to say she died XD
Killing Galactus was ridiculous easy in DP mode, all in all disappointed how lackluster medium difficulty was. Did enjoy Arcade mode.
Was surprised to have decent connection to one guy in Vegas and one guy in Korea, speaking of a world wide lobby that played with minimal lag. Did get one laggy fight in, poor Jean got toasted. Her normals feel really good though and I’m loving the teleports. Just realised I haven’t used traps yet, hmm need to stop forgetting them.
All in all shes not easy, but shes totally worth it <3

Phoenix is definitely my favorite character to use. Powerful as all hell. She would be kind of broken if her health was normal so I guess I’m okay with her bad life. Dark Phoenix is just nuts. You can just button mash your guaranteed a combo which pretty much equals death.

I’ve set it to very hard in fact, nice to see the opponent do more than just stand there and take a beating:P It’s just that there are too easier settings and I can’t imagine what they do. Do the tcharacters kill themselves before fighting you to make it easier?
Im finding that a Chris/Phoenix/Dante team has pretty good synergy.
I’ve been running Ammy/Chris/Phoenix. I’m super scrubby (this is my first day playing a VS game ever) but they seem to be working somewhat well together. Chris and phoenix are both decent with the traps and damage, and he adds a lot of help to the hp problem of the others. The main problem I’m having in getting things done with this team is that they don’t really sync in mobility. Chris is a tank, Ammy’s not terrible, and Phoenix, especially DPh, is fast as hell. It’s wierd going from character to character.
Also, it seems (so far) that Chris’ hypers are not the most useful in the game which doesn’t make me feel like I’m handicapping myself when stockpiling that meter. I think one of the bigger issues is with Ammy, is Cold Star better to lock the opponent down and keep them off Chris/Phoenix or should bloom be used for the meter build?
Ive been running with Phoenix, X-23, Tron/Trish/Zero. I found this team to be effective but since im not really familiar with everything yet I still need to figure out which characters will help build meter for Phoenix
With one rarely ever using Phoenix to assist, meter builds are a bit of a waste, it leaves Chris without any assists at all and I think he’ll enjoy having one. Did you check out Sanfords demo of Chris? Holy hell speaking of filling the screen.
What are your plans concerning teleporters, you seem to lack something thatll help Chris get people off him(he seems to be real good vs regular rushers though.) I’m also curious about the plan vs Rival zoners, sadly I don’t have the guide yet, so I don’t know how good Chris is at nullifying other projectiles. Hope these things help your general thoughts.
Phoenix is still working as a dream for me and regular phoenix has been able to hold her own plenty of times, but on those moments I do err, those 5 bars and lvl3 XF just seal the deal XD

Wesker seems to be a great battery for her as he really doesn’t need meter to lay down the pain. I’m beginning to doubt X23 though, I love her and everything about her, but I’m not feeling her mesh yet. I"m just hoping it’s my unfamiliarity and it’ll get much better later 
Wesker is actually pretty good, with his resets and stuff. But you gotta get used to not finish his combos with phantom dance or use his super counter.
I’ve been using jeans Overdrive assist instead usualy, but you can use an occasional hyper at certain times.
Does Anyone has any good Block strings as DPM?
Definitely having Phoenix as part of my team. Just curious to see if anyone has any other good team synergy’s as of yet… I’m think super skrull, maybe Spencer or M.o.d.o.k. and possibly Doom or Dormammu.
Finally got the game and I have to say, Phoenix is damn impressive. Brennan was absolutely right, Dark Phoenix with X-factor is absolutely broken as fuck. The game just came out so i’m willing to give her the benefit of the doubt but its really tough to stop… I mean i’m glad she’s rare online, and I know it sounds greedy but I really want to keep this character to myself (and my fellow Phoenix mainers) but I can see bandwangoners jumping on the DP boat.
Also, i’ve noticed that people are saying that teams using Phoenix cannot use Hyper Bars. Incorrect, i’ve been able to use use Hypers (sparingly) and still have enough for Jean.
Phoenix herself is just awesome. Fantastic rushdown game with a great defensive game. Healing field is awesome damn good. It allows you to use Phoenix as a regular character (really handy at certain times) because it basically halves the damage she takes.s It actually play some of m matches that way.
For reference my team is: Dante (point) / Spidey / Phoenix.
I can’t wait until I get good enough to use her on point.
