HF with Dph will let her prolong her suffering. Keeps a full chip bar, so easy way to keep her normal health high.
well if you played your cards right and have xf plus hf then go in and start rushing with dpx, she will have better than normal health.
I still want to see if all the projectiles from her normals (in DPh) will chip. I love seeing all that shit. Reminds me of some crazy ass boss in a Gradius game.
So…hf only restores red health. I’m actually kinda disappointed.
Healing Field:
- Prevents melee chip.
- Allows her to recover ranged chip with teleport > block or just walking up to them.
- Stops her from dying in one combo under a lot of circumstances.
- Counteracts DPh health loss.
Looks pretty useful to me.
that really depends on what that one combo is aswell
Under most situations, if you last about 4 seconds in healing field damage scaling should make it at least a bit more tolerable, and if healing field remains the whole combo (doesn’t run out until the combo meter disappears) you’re looking at a 50% - 75% damage reduction, though it can’t be healed back. That’s very significant.
I wouldn’t say that, as previously stated, strider pretty much died from one combo, yet clockwork found ways of keeping him out there for extensive periods.
What’s melee chip? Do some characters deal guard damage with melee attacks? Wouldn’t her health go down a little even if she was guarding?
Damn…
Guessing special melee move’s like Cap’s Charging Star, Ryu’s Hurricane Kick, Wolvie’s Berserker Barrage.
Chris Redfield’s command normals (Flamethrower, etc.) deal chip damage. Things of this nature are what he is probably referring to.
Oh, well I’ve seen her block with the healing sphere on and she takes heavy guard damage with it on.
I am going to be air tagging alot to get that meter.
Ah man that intro gave me goosebumps.
Jean: How I wish this wasn’t you Logan.
Logan: It doesn’t have to be this way!!!
Too fucking good.
Which one?
Check the link above that Leed posted.
True, in the 4 gameplay vids that came out for lei lei and sent the ryu combo would’ve knocked her away from him and merked her, while the Lei lei air combo into her falling spiked balls hyper keeps her in the field and lets her read heath return. Though a lei lei player could just stay outside the field and use her other hyper that also hits otg.
I would think having two characters that work well with one another would be ideal. Having a meter building assist won’t put no pressure on the opponent. And Phoenix as an assist could get caught with a super. So having a two person team that works well without spending meter would be a good choice. Get 5 meters then tag in Phoenix. Get Dark Phoenix tag out and figure out what to do from there. She is going to be a interesting character to build around on.
I hate playing as characters with a transformation for their hyper/ultra/etc.(for example, Colossus from MvC2, and Bang from BlazBlue)
It’s typically too easy for the opponent to force you into wasting your meter this way.
