In the next combat, Haggar it’s the second character in the team, Phoenix is the first, so Haggar does’t start with 5 by himself.

Timer on DP, I think I heard seth mention you only have a certain amount of time as DP, does that mean once the timer is up you revert or does it mean you die?

Highly doubt the healing recovers past red health would be too good, imo.

According to the article once her life completely drains as DP she reverts to Phoenix meaning there’s potential to have multiple DP use in a match, which scares me quite a bit. It’s like stay as DP and build the meter. Revert to Phoenix when health drains and then die again with 5 meters for DP who can build that meter so quickly.

I agree she is either gonna be really good or completly trash due to her health. I also don’t see no reason why you can’t KFC (dumb name) into Healing Field but keep in mind that she heals only red health so it won’t do her much good if she has none, I don’t know what people are so worried about. And even if she takes damage with the healing on she loses some red bar with consecutive hits. I think she is balanced enough.

In her reveal trailer? Are you referring to the part where she is in DP mode and is attacking Zero? I believe it actually cuts off right before her health fully depletes to a different fight where she finishes Dante with a combo into Hyper.

gotdam her health is lower than i thought. shit is worse than seth. seth could at least survive characters most damaging combos. she CANNOT even survive basic combos. she gets hit, SHE’S THR:wasted:UGH! utilizing 5 meters for HF as i previously thought is NOT a good idea. now DPh on the other hand may be a little dangerous but not un-deal-withable. DPh mode lasts about 33 realtime secs, lvl 3 XF lasts about 23 secs…that MAY be enough for her to destroy whats left of a team but that all depends on what she’s capable of (keep in mind we haven’t seen how she takes damage in DPh mode without XF). regular phoenix isn’t looking to enticing AT ALL, unless she’s got some undiscovered abilities (doubt it). Maybe she can HF during DPh mode being that her combos build a lot of meter for herself. we’ll see, but i’m not holding my breath. HYPE REVERSED
Oh yeah, there’s no way she starts matches off with 5 meters. some of you are smoking. that vid is to purposely display DPh. Just look at the timer, its on infinity, obviously not a ‘real’ match.

I see pheonix as being more of a utility than anything. You give up your third character slot for a crazy, impractical but potentially high-reward battery.

on another note, does switching out DP slow down the life loss?

A. You can’t even switch out when in DP form, or
B. You can switch, but she’s forever stuck as “DP” with the draining health and will be able to die off screen.
