oh right I never considered playing ordinary phoenix, but yeah, when you think about it, low health isn’t really that big of an issue. Dunno though, it just feels like it defeats the point of her
The best Phoenix team is Morrigan/Strange or Ammy/Phoenix. Take advantage of Morrigan meter leech combo with Stranges EoA or Ammys Cold Star it lock the enemy down long enough to do her mirage hyper and use her meter eating fire ball this alone should give you three meters tag her out zone with strange while using her meter build assist you should have atleast 4 bar in under 70 marvel seconds
She at least got multiple options on snap-in. The reason most people do not seem to fare well with her is probably they are banking too much on Dark Phoenix instead of learning to use regular Jean (which is an awesome character all by herself, with literally every tool available to her).
i have mad problems doing her xf L-Trap loop. they allways fall out after a few reps or the L-Trap doesnt come out -_-
plz help
prepare for a massive boost in phoenix users because of the new assist me
You’re doing it to slowly. I had that issue for a while, don’t watch for the move to recover, just crank the quarter circles as fast as you can.
does anyone know if phoenix’s standing jabs are good anti-airs like magneto’s standing jabs or ryu’s standing jabs as an example?
Also idk if anyone knows this but if you do an air combo either and end it w/ phoenix inferno whether it be a standard air combo or an air combo into the ground bounce and before her feet touch the ground to the super you can do a TAC while your in the air but it never connects even if you try to dash towards your opponent while they are being wall bounced. The only way for the TAC to connect is after the super if you xfactor and then activate fly and then do the TAC while you are close.
Was wondering outside of activating xfacto if anyone could come up with a way to get the TAC w/o activating xfactor. I tried for 15mins but couldn’t come up w/ anything. I also tried in and outside the corner.
Well if you can air dash down/forward and S after an air super, surely you could TAC instead, no?
idk I try to airdash down forward after the super and i’m usually too far to hit them w/ hit. Also I believe that her TAC down animation is a kick and not the extended fire animation from her air S. Try it out trust me it doesn’t reach unless someone can go in the lab and try and land it. I’m just thinking of options for TAC’s that the opponent wouldn’t expect such as after a super lol.
Having experienced it first hand, I can certainly say that Phillpro’s team has an excessive number of options to hit confirm off of. Fortunately for me, Nova is stupid. Theoretically, you might be able to get away with it if you get a sweetspot that’s wide enough to allow for the air dash, but close enough to the corner to put you in range. Personally, I don’t think it’s worth the risk. If they guess the TAC correctly, that will just put you in a bad position.
yeah sorry there was some lag in our matches and yeah there’s alot of options for my team to get hits in lol. And yeah Nova can kinda be kinda hard to hit haha.
So after all this TAC infinite craze going around I’m trying to come up w/ a phoenix TAC infinite in the corner. Anyone have any ideas. Like after a down exchange i would try to wait alittle (like a sec) and either dash down or dash down/forward and do air m-> air m-> H. Don’t really know if this works or what to do after. Any help?
I cant control it in my pants!!
After alittle bit more testing I think that w/ phoenix it has something to do w/ dashing down forward after a TAC and then doing her airForward H move followed by airH then do airMMH-> airForward H. after that i don’t know what else. It’s like trying to put together a puzzle piece. It’s either that or maybe after the airH you go into another airH followed by airForward H.
I’ve made one, it’s bloody damn hard though. I’m making a vid now.
Here you go: I used your team as well lol:

Wow thanks for using my team as well. Really appreciate it. I like it alot even though it seems difficult i’m going to try and learn how to do it. Do you play pad or stick. Just wondering how it would be on pad lol.
I play on stick, you can probably hear it in the video. I can’t imagine it would be any harder on pad, the motions are easy, it’s more in the timing. You can do more normals before and after the fly, but that just puts the opponent higher and you want them pretty low for the falling j.M to hit. As I wrote on the video description, I couldn’t get falling j.H to work at all for some reason.
Ok I see and thanks. And yeah w/ jumping H when your really low to the ground it whiffs or something. Maybe there’s a certain height requirement for the move.
If Phoenix is in as an assist when the player has five bars and is KOed, does she go dark or do you just lose her?
