this game is fun, i have a coupla questions…
- what is M. Bison (Evil Dictator/Raul Julia), lock down pattern?
- why would WW characters be banned?

WW characters do stupid damage & can dizzy u in no time
Maybe I stick with Turbo Guile than. But I see some major headaches against Vega for Guile. Vega is super fast and his pokes come out so fast
Probably because you cannot mirror match them.
In WW, you could not have mirror matches, and they kept it the same in HSF2:AE.
What the hell are the differences btween Turbo & CE Guile?
WW Gief is hella scary.
SPD lands him next to the oponent.
s.short -> SPD
s.short -> c.roundhouse
c.jabx3 -> c.roundhouse
cross up body splash -> whatever -> SPD
walk up SPD
the gief is back
anyone know the CE Bison (Raul Julia) lockdown pattern?
CE Guile does more damage.
A few questions bout AE…
In the arcade version of AE, which char ending do you get? Is it the super turbo one?
I havent played AE yet, just curious.
There’s no need to flash kick a Vega off the wall, jump back roundhouse works fine most of the time. Guile’s jumping rh has the longest horizontal reach of any air normal in the game outside of Dhalsim, or close to it. (I can’t think of any that go farther off the top of my head)
Sac throwing against Vega is pretty helpful, because even if he gets a deep hit he usually isn’t going to do any crazy combo on you. It’s often a good risk to take if he jumps over a boom.
I enjoy using some WW characters just to go back real old-school. Alos it’s pretty satisfying to beat my bro-in-law with a WW character when he’s using a Super or Turbo fighter. Also, I recommend the SFAC guide to anyone that doesn’t have it. TONS upon TONS of info on each version of the SFII fighters. :tup:
I’m not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread but I thought I’d post Chun Li’s ST super combo glitch. It may be true for other characters as well, but I’m not sure.
I hate WW Guile’s jab
Two:
World Warrior Ryu or Ken:
Cross Up J.Roundhouse - C.Short x 3 or 4 - CPS1 Chained S.Fierce
Hyper Fighting Ryu on Fei Long (Not sure if this works on Guile. It also sometimes redizzies):
Cross Up J.Roundhouse - C.Short x 2 - CPS1 Chained S.Fierce - Fierce Hadouken
BTW, anyone still have the Street Fighter 2: Turbo Gamepro guide? I know it had Spinning Pile Driver combos for Zangief. Or should I say, setup combos.

ST Vega (claw) Combos
The combos I promised in my first post. These are the ones I generally use.
S.Fierce, C.Strong - Use this when you miss a throw and get a fierce instead.
C.Forward, C.Forward, C.Strong (Unuable after a jump-in.)
C.Forward, C.Strong
C.Short, Strong Roll, C.Strong (In the corner you can use Fierce Roll.)
C.Short, RH Flip Kick, RH Flip Kick (Only works out of the corner.)
If anyone feels like filling in some more combos feel free.
pretty useless but cool lookin’, When VEga is in the corner, c. close MP, Sky High Claw (HP)
The claw guy (Vega) has a bug that prevents the wall flip (Down-Up + Kick) from being used consistently, anyone else experiencing this really odd issue?
It’s on both my US PS2 version and the CPS2 board.
Yeah, I saw a thread about that somewhere.
I think it can be charged down -> up but not d/b -> up. I haven’t done any tests though.
down+up… that would render the move totally useless! >.<
what a stupid bug… Vega was one of my best characters.
