man a couple weeks ago i was at the arcade (Fun, Fun, Fun) and this guy which looks like a tourney goer was playing me with an ok team i suppose juggs,iceman,cable i launched’em and i did my beautiful 13 hit and i was just about to xx hyper grav to MT and then this muthafucka started spazzin out, i mean pushin all the buttons really fast…then his iceman floated away from the grips of my H.G. so my advice to all mag users…use hg xx into mt very careful :tdown:
Ummm yeah this is extreamly old news. People have known that for hella long. Hyper grav combos are extremely scrubby nowadays, but it’s still good for people who you know cant mash out. If they mash out the first time it aint worth trying again.
Use these combos instead.
Launch, Sj Fp, ad df, Fp, Hk, land, C HK
You get WAY more damage and dont need to waste a super. Notice the emphasis on WAY.
Lauch, Sj Hk, Ad df, lk, lk, land, Hk xx shockwave
You can also do a whole lot of shit after the airdash down like setting up a ROM infinite or it can be used as a better setup into a magnetic tempest, but either way tempest combos suck on people who can mash. The possibilties are endless.

he’s kinda scrubby though he did mash out, because you said he spazzed out… swipe the buttons four times, and shake the stick a few times back and fourth… gets me out at least 90% of the time. only time i get hit by it is if i either stop paying attention or let them hit me (if i’m playing a newbie or something, i don’t care much)

you swipe all six buttons and spin the stick, all four times.
to make it a bit more simple, keep your hands (fingers) together, tight, and use mostly your four fingers, not your palm. wiggling the joystick also helps, and i think that counts more, though you need both to get out. its fairly simple to do that, maybe cuz im left handed, but still, flex your arm then wiggle as fast as you can
put it this way… the fastest way to get out = 8 joystick directions + neutral and about 12 seperate button inputs. (this is an approximate)
wiggle the stick back and forth 4 times = 8 joystick inputs + neutrals
swipe the buttons 4 times = 24 inputs, at least 12 should be seperated
reason it’s better to not seperate your fingers is because then you’re more likely to input duplicates (eg. hitting LP + HP + LK will not count towards the total count)
i’ve tried it with a turbo controller, and i’ve gotten out by holding LP and wiggling the analog stick, but it wouldn’t work when i spin the stick in a circle. same thing, it wouldn’t work if i wiggled the analog stick and held two turbo buttons down

do the assist buttons count towards mashing? Would be nice if someone with a turbo controller tried it out. In a few supers I’ve checked the assist buttons don’t contribute to mashing at all though, sorta like how cable is only affected by the punches.
cable’s affected by kicks too… not directional wise, but hits. if i mash just the punches, i do maybe 30 hits max… if i mash all of them, i get about 40
and i have no idea about the assists… just mash everything
No mashing affects the hits on ahvb, the only thing that affects the hits on ahvb is the number of hitboxes the beam is touching hence why sent gets raped by ahvb, huge = way more hitboxes. If you let it go straight it will always get 32, you mash punches move the stick up and down it will touch more hitboxes and get ~40. However many hits you get mashing both punches and kicks you can get the same just mashing punches definately. Whatever though this is marvel just mash everything.
the more buttons you use to mash, the more it will stay on a long angle, therefore you get more hitboxes.
When you do hg xx tempest mash that shit as well… Mashing out is no match for fake countermashing!

i already did… just mash as much as you can… you can’t teach somebody to mash properly… just put your hands in different positions… try swiping different directions… you’ll find which way is easiest for you…
sanford goes crazy when he mashes… javier doesn’t… there’s different styles. just mash as much as you can… i put down what works best for me, but it’s not a universal thing
