It’s been a while since I last posted here and I haven’t been making any stick for quite some time now.
Anyways, I wanted to know if anyone has already tried to make a hybrid stick that can work as a regular arcade stick for consoles but also has a capability of being a portable arcade via RetroPie (Raspberry board inside).
If someone has already made one, how did you make it and how are the wirings connected?
@Darksakul thanks for the headsup. I was able to find the thread and it gave me some idea on how to make this simpler.
Basically I can just have the Raspberry Pi inside a stick with the OI (usb, hdmi ports) in the front, So I can just connect the stick if ever I want to use the retropie. I can also have a seperate compartment inside the stick for the cord and power adaptor inside. Here’s a rough draft.
There a cleaner approach, but thats the gist of it.
I would try to use panel mount jacks over hot gluing extension cables in place but thats me
The benefit of a screw in panel mount jack over hot glue is the ports will not come loose
