In the corner, if Polymar does any grounded version of Handou Sandan Geri (623+attack, attack, 214+attack), immediately baroques after the third hit of the attack. and upon landing, 2A will connect (and combo on the ground while opponent is being juggled)! I will get some vids up if I have any time to spare with combo examples.
Hi guys, finaly got the game but cant play anyone cuz europe sucks for connection, lagtastic, and no friends like it. SOOooo i have been messing around in training, i was trying to improve his basic launcher combo into super grab, i found a easyish way to add an extra 2000 on to it.

basicly instead of launching after :d: :snkb: you hold :db: and this makes you do his slide kick, then you have also charged his wall bounce punch as well, then dash after them and go into your launcher

yeah, ive been doing something similar king lee, except you can still do his standing C before the slide kick, then go into wallbounce, then when you continue the combo you can do crouching A to standing B to standing C to launcher
adds a lot of damage that way
and it makes his bnb do around 30k which is ridiculous
Yea, It’s pretty crazy that Polimar does so much dmg with his bnbs. Could there be any combos involving the drill? Or any kind of unblockable setups with any other character since it hits from behind on its passing run. The possibilities are quite endless with this character!
Not really, But if you Team Hyper Combo with someone like Ryu and Shinkuu Hadoken then you can continue the combo and the Drill will hit both sides. This is if Ryu is on point. Frank west works well too.

This is mostly a hype combo but I believe I have seen people (RoyalFlush) BBQ razor kicks into basic SHVS BnB. Is there anyway anyone can test this combo out and tell me if it’s honestly worth it, even with 1 Hurricane stock? I get roughly around 33k with 20% BBQ.
I’m sorry if this is a noob question but when you say 360 reset do you mean the dmg reset? My main team is Viewtiful Joe and Polimar i got viewtiful down pretty good and now I’m trying to get polimar down. I did the 2A,2A,5B,2B,5C,3C j. a,a,b,b JC b,b 360 A+B but the combo stops but i catch them with the super. Again sorry if this is a noob question i just want to make sure the stuff I’m practicing will work when i play against human players. I always put auto guard on when i train but just wanna make sure i understand what you guys are saying.
No, you’re correct; that’s what the reset is supposed to be. Air combo… JC, j.B, j.B XX Shinkuu Kakategoma is actually Polimar’s most reliable reset.
Personally, I only use it if I really have to, but it’s really not my style. I prefer getting higher elevation combos with air combo… 623B/C,B/C,214B/C~BBQ, JC, j.B, 623C,C,214C.

Ok cool just wanted to make sure i understood it correctly. Yea i like doing alot of combos also been practicing some more and i got down alot of other combos that you guys mentioned. I was getting the 5A,5B,2B,5C ChargePunchA dash 5B,2B,3C, j.a j.b j.b JC j.b j.b 623C/C,214C. Still getting the dash down after i do the charge punch.
I have to say Polimar is the most fun character i ever used in any fighting game i ever played. I’m 25 years old so I’ve been playing fighting games since SF2. He’s just to much fun to play as and the combo potential he have is just amazing and I’m glad this game is balance Capcom did a great job.

Ryu/Polymar 5HC 20% Baroque 118 hit 100% Combo
You don’t even need BBQ for that combo, unless you are getting the damage out of it.
Here is a really good combo using the Hurricane Emblems, this combo can be done anywhere but works better in the corner. If not done in the corner you must dash after the 6~4A.
IAD.C, 5A, 5B, 2B, 5C, 236C(x4), BBQ, 5A, 5B, 2B, 5C, 6~4A, 5A, 5B, 5C, 3C, j.A, j.A, j.B, j.B, JC, j.B, j.B, Shinkuu Kakategoma.
This does about 90% damage, uses 1 special bar, 3 Hurricane Emblems, and 10% Baroque!! VIDEO SOON
Yeah that’s a pretty standard combo for Polimar uses. Not that that’s a bad thing, aside from the fact of using all 3 emblems, it’s a strong combo and really practical, easily usable in a real fight

I saw someone do 2C into 6C into the 4~6 move in a corner combo. How was that done? By the way, I use a Gamecube pad. Thanks.
Press backward straight out of the 2C so it doesnt do a ‘Razor Chain Kicks’ and asoon as you use the 6C start charging backward so its ready in time.
Should look like
2C, 46C, 4~6A (I dont know about heavier versions of 4~6)

Epic Polimar goodness.
Man I’m having a lot of trouble with Polimar getting in. Do you guys think he has to have an assist like ryu to be viable? I’m pretty sure I’m gonna drop him from my Zero team just because I have too much trouble getting inside. It seems like he’s got no good anti air, his IAD stuff loses to… everyone elses IAD stuff, and his ground game is super lacking in terms of pokes. All his specials are unsafe… I mean… outside of get in and mix up, what are you supposed to do with polimar? And that’s IF you can get in. A big if.

It takes lots of patience to get used to Polimar’s lack of safe stuff. My ground game really revolves around his dashed 2C slide into Handou Sandangeri combos which can be extended in the corner (with an assist, without an assist with red life to baroque) and midscreen. Polimar 2C actually beats out many jabs and wins in some pushblock situations.
Any single-hitting horizontal assist is great for Polimar (assists like Ippatsuman, Ryu, Morrigan, Alex), as are any anti-air assists. I prefer single-hitting horizontals for combo extensions.
His air normals… In air-to-air fights, j.A has given me the most success. Don’t let it’s awkward look fool you. It actually has some horizontal range to it and can box in opponents in the the corner.
