blame my life making me become emo
Funny how I posted the same combo minus the cr.H a couple days ago and no one noticed, lol.
damn… so stylish!
I want to add dante for my team so bad just cuz of his assist… maybe I’ll do that someday.
anyway… Nini, I would love to see to your zero in matches
do you have any recorded matches?
Jesus christ…
Do you think that combo is practical? It doesn’t look too bad honestly.
The timing on Jam Session is a little tight but it’s very practical otherwise.
Simple, efficient, and looks braindead.
I LOVE IT.
Just wanna add that Freida uses combos like these all the time and is probably the only zero who does in any tournament scene. Marn would occasionally do these combos as well when he started messing with Freida’s team. There are a few other Zeros in so cal who will do these combos in tournament play, but they don’t have the experience to place high consistently. I would do combos like that but the problem with this is that my team wasn’t really built for it in vanilla. That and if my Dante play didn’t resemble an autistic monkey raping a chicken, i totally would.
Question though toaster, what region are you from?
I haven’t heard of Freida, sounds like I should have but I’ve never seen him on any stream I watch.
I’m from Texas, and occasionally play at Arcade UFO.
Japanese Zero, plays on Godsgarden I think.
Makes sense. Everyone tells me Texas is Zero central out there. But yeah, have you ever considered going out to compete more actively in the scene?
On Freida, here’s him vs. Wentinel at evo.

Doesn’t really showcase him all that well even though he wins. There are also some japanese vids of him floating around. He really performed well during the money match room at evo though. Marn and Fanatiq both felt he was the best Zero. I didn’t get a chance to play him, but from what I had seen, he was the “cleanest” zero I ever saw in person.
Oooh, he may have been the guy I stole Zero/Dante from originally, along with everyone else.
There are a lot of Zero’s around here, Stone Nguyen probably being the best behind me (at least in Vanilla.) I would travel out to real events if I had the time, money or freedom to do so.
No credit? That sucks.
I guess higher quality on videos gets you more attention.
All my shit is HD so i guess not man, haha.
I’m one of the only Zero players here in the MI scene, and honestly our Marvel scene is pretty weak in general as we only have a couple really good players (and none of them are me lol). This is the first time I’ve really looked at all this Zero stuff and I’m definitely gonna hit the lab and then put it to work in upcoming tournaments.
Brethen, I will not disappoint you guys.
You have to take DHC glitch into account. I still think Marn is the best Zero on the tourny circuit, but as I’ve learned over vanilla’s lifespan - tourney players go for the easiest damage possible. If you were playing vanilla Zero that meant Mags/Zero DHC glitch. All day.
On top of that, it’s a fact Zero has to work harder for his damage than other top tier characters, so a lot of players also just zoned until they could land lvl3 Buster => :l: Raikousen, then get him out for someone who could do damage easier.
I will agree that a lot of the combos that get posted here may be unreliable because they need to be in the corner.
lol
Spoiler
I’ve seen a lot better Zeros than Marn. Best one I’ve seen is Flocker but even he doesn’t do most of the serious Zero stuff. I want to see someone go to a tourney and do some of the stuff we’ve been posting here in the last few pages and see how the commentators react. Even people that commentate stuff don’t even know what Zero can do half the time.
Dude, one simple BNB can push to the corner EASILY in Ultimate. Not only that, but Zero can easily footsie and pressure you into the corner then start running his mixups. A good Zero is scary as hell and people will corner themselves against him unwillingly.
Throughout the course of vanilla, Marn was the most “successful” zero since he had the most consistent placings in majors. But it’s hard to gauge his abilities off of specific match videos simply because you have no idea which Marn felt like showing up that day. Half the time he doesn’t care since he’s either been playing LoL or making 50 k off of sports betting. There are matches of him on youtube where he actually threw the match so he could leave to the airport that people don’t know. But the times he has cared, he’s shown he can be one of the best zero players.
I don’t see how you could have seen better Zero then Marn. Honestly, I personally think, that a good Zero player is based around his overall success in tourny’s. I mean, who cares if they can do this combo and that combo… if they’re aren’t winning how can they be the best. People know Marn and Flocker because they’re successful in tournaments consistent.Yeah, I would rather go for an easy bnb with no character restrictions and timing then to do a amazing combo that only works on 5 characters .
Most of my games are off stream but I got two tourney games at my first major ever.
First is me against Blitzman at T12 at 51:14 of this video
Second is against marlinpie at 1hr:28 of the same video. Coulda had it but made a key drop on Viper in the last game with Dante by trying to extend the combo too much. First major ever though, so I was still trying to swag out and not keeping it basic. Got knocked out after that from losers due to messed up inputs.
I was gonna argue, but you’re right. Brain fart on my part. However, the timing for certain things changes midscreen. Sentsuizan => lvl3 Buster to OTG being the first thing that comes to mind.
