"Hunting Mavricks, one combo at a time," The MvC3 Zero Combo Thread

So do you guys still use [:l:,:m:,:h:(3 hits),:f::h:(3 hits),:s:,sj:m:,sj:m:,sj:h:(3 hits), sj:s:] for basic combos? Doesn’t [c.:l:,c.:m:,c.:h:,:s:,sj.:m:,sj.:m:, :h:Sentsuizan] do more damage?

Anyway, I can get about 781k using both assists and one hyper, but the problem is my execution is terrible and I can’t get it consistently. I have to omit one assist and sacrifice about 100k for me to be consistent enough. I use Zero/Dorm/Taskmaster. Also, good stuff you guys are sharing here even if I can’t use most of it.

I’ve noticed this myself, because doing it to strange is also difficult/impossible to relaunch as well. I tested it on other characters who have floating stances (Storm, Magneto, Strange, Phoenix), and the buster relaunch doesn’t seem to work as well on them. I haven’t tried Nova yet (along with derp characters like Shuma). As a result, I changed my combo with Zero to fit characters that float as their normal stance. The good thing, however, is that pretty much all the characters with floating stances have low HP, and the team I’m using, despite the fact that I changed the combo a bit, can kill them all off with 2 meter in 1 combo.

Man Zero is so ridiculous in this game. I’m going to have a video coming probably in a week (give it 3 though because I procrastinate a lot). This one is gonna be different though: It will be a team video showing combos, hit-confirms, mixups, and resets with my team of Zero/Tony/Strange.

I made (well more like innovated) a combo combining the Chris ender with ZeroX03’s combo (and optimized that combo a bit)…it does 800k+ (or was it 900? I don’t remember now) and builds like 1.75 meters and carries completely corner-to-corner.

c.M, s.H, f+H, c.L, c.M, s.H, f+H xx H-Ryuenjin xx Buster Cancel, L-Raikousen, dash forward, j.MMH land, S, j.MMHS, jump back, call Doom Missiles, H-Sentsuizan xx Buster Cancel, L-Raikousen, S, j.M xx H-Raikousen, Buster while falling, L-Raikousen, TK H-Sentsuizan, Rekkoha.

Omit the bold and just do a H-Sentsuizan while falling instead of a TK’ed one to make this combo like 10x more consistent and easy.

Just make a quick video of the combo … lol. I want to see it !

So firebrand, for those of you that want to use the little asshole (he’s remarkably similar to zero once you get him down) has some awesome DHC synnergy with Zero.

My combo: MH 6H S > JC j.MM j.236H > call Firebrand (demon missile M, causes soft knockdown) > jump Buster L Raikosen > 2H S > JC j.MMHS (should be cornered now) > dash backwards > Dormammu Dark Hole > j.236H > S JC > jump Buster L Raikosen > TK j.236M > Rekkoha > DHC to Fire Breath before Rekkoha hits, MASH

Does a bit over 1 mil and is really consistent. Found out why Dorm gives you the steb ender light now and that’s because apparently Dark Hole is a soft knock down now.

so what is a more reiable/consistant vergil assist used for combo extender, slash or cut?

My problem with Doom now.

Hidden Missiles gives lockdown and damage, but I still want a plasma beam like assist…But I don’t wanna play Iron Man or Magneto.

apologies for the quality but at the moment, this is my meterless BnB combo. Since i normally use Zero/Spencer/Wesker, I had to change my combos particularly my finishers since buster no longer causes a hard knockdown.

anyway, There’s 2 OTG ideas i tried out. The first OTG is samurai edge assist with a M raikousen xx buster xx L raikousen. The 2nd OTG is slant shot assist and H sentsuizan, Ryuenjin xx buster xx L raikousen.

you can finish both of these with a launcher, shippuuga, ryuenjin or level 3.

Meterless, about 593k,
with level 3 about 880k.

Great vid man nice skills yea i´m going back to dante too…I´m having trouble connecting the 2.H,H combo can anyone give me any tips when i do neutral jump the characters are too far away and when i foward jump when i relaunch it switches sides and doesn´t wana let me carry to the corner which is what i want for more damage.

I may have to go back to Z/D after Nini’s video, but I’m just not sure. Doing the DHC is basically giving your opponent free meter while doing no damage. Zero/Vergil DHC builds meter for yourself while doing 100% with an extended Zero combo.

I’m thinking about Zero/Vergil/Dante, which would mean I’d be stealing another thing from Cloud, but I’ve always just been a ‘drones’ kind of guy.

I played a lot of ranked matches with my good old Z/D/S team and did a lot better than I usually do, so it may go back to it, but god damn that Vergil DHC is so good.

hey toast whats your full screen or midscreen bnb for online right now, i´m having trouble getting good damage if not in the corner and you and cloud are the best online zero´s ive seen so far

I don’t even have a full screen corner carry combo that isn’t terribly inconsistent. Even my midscreen one is. I just do the same old jump 2H, H, land, relaunch, buster, dash down, relaunch etc. It’s a whole lot harder in this game because you have to hit them with the buster as high as you can while staying as low as you can. It’s really stupid and I don’t like it.

I guess I have to learn the jump loop now, which is a combo I never liked because it involved links and height management and a bunch of stuff that should never be in a Marvel combo.

I don’t like the jump loop either. It’s looking like that Ryuejin combo is looking to be a good alternative. The one thing I don’t like about that one though is that I don’t think it works if you do a jump in. I was testing it earlier and it would work every time with a cr.M starter but j.H or j.S would make the bolded part in this combo not work:
