I was thinking the same thing, but then you’re stuck with a Haggar anchor. It can work, but you’ll need to work to ensure you win before getting stuck with only Haggar left.

Haggar can start the DHC trick too with his launching command throw. And putting them second could still work because you TAC to either of them and DHC trick back to Zero. Zero can get some good use from Spencer-b assist with reset tricks. And of course Haggar is Haggar.

This video could really go in any thread, but I just figured out the most amazing use for Jam Session assist ever: combo after Ryuenjin

On another note, i’m here for help again. I need to improve my throw combo. I’m trying to get it to build 2 meters.

What I’m doing right now is:
** AIR **Throw(back or front)>AIR Dash> Call Low Voltage> J.236H>2M>2H>5S>J.MM>J.H>Release Buster>623L>2H>5S>J.MM>J.H>J.S>Call Jam Session>J.236H>5S>J.Release Buster>J.623L>J.236H(or M, M is way easier)>Super>DHC into round harvest>Tag Dante>finish combo>kill character.

The problem is, i’m a bit short on the meter. The combo builds around 1.7, so I can’t do it from 0 bars. Is there anything i can do to build the .3 meter remaining with Zero?

I’m almost completely positive you made this combo up.

I´m trying this combo too… and your advice helped a lot… you can imput directions during the lightning animation because when it´s on screen you´re already free to do whatever you want… so you have plenty of time to do next dive…
I can do lightning dive x 4 on the right side(player 2) ( I tryed this side first because I think it´s harder), but actually I´m very bad on the left side (player1). I´ll keep practising on the left side for a week or two… them when it´s very consistent, I´ll switch sides…

Well, I leveled up my BNBs to around 900-1 mil with Zero and I did my first full lightning loop today. Also found with Dante if you TAC to him from Zero > Hammer land 3HHH Stinger Grapple DHC Glitch back to Zero, you can pretty much do that shit people have been doing with Storm, but with a better character lol. It’s a bit harder with Dante but with practice you can make it function the same.

Lol what? I was practicing this in training mode after watching some jp zero videos and seeing their airgrab combo setups. My old airgrab combo used Dante first so I couldn’t get as much damage. I can record with my shitty phone if you don’t believe me.

Or you could, yknow, try the fucking combo instead of trying to call me out for making stuff up.

Anyways, at the jam session part, do you have enough time to do something like this:

combo > j.BB > j.C > call jam session >[ j.S (jam session hits)] > land tk j.623A > land > [tk j.236C] > land > j. buster > rest of combo

I have no idea if that will work, but those are some ideas. j.S might not work, and you might not be able to tk j.236C after raikousen, but you would be able to go into j.buster directly. That will probably build more meter.

EDIT:
Actually I see what that probably looks like. That might not work. Try raikousen directly instead of j.236C (I’m assuming you’re doing that without landing after jam session hits, right?).

Good luck building that meter, seems pretty sick. However, you don’t hit 0 meter very often, but it would be good to get this guaranteed.

There’s supposed to be a J.S before you call jam session right?

In that case, why not just add another TK Raikousen for the meter?

Yeah sorry, there is a J.S after the J.H, my mistake.

Hadn’t thought of doing TK lightning before J.Release buster. I think that will give me just enough meter. Will try it in a bit.

Edit: Wow it works. Not only that, it gives me the little push necessary to kill Thor. Good shit. It’s a bit more complicated though since I need to map another Trigger to continue charging. Pad player FML.

On that note, you actually can combo after a forward ground throw in the corner with an assist+TK sword dive M. Veeeery strict timing though. I also think I saw someone combo a snap back after a cornered back throw once.

Nah, you don’t need a new charge trigger (I only have one)

Do the combo normally until the last j.S (hold L on the way down. I assume this is your shoulder charge button)

Then call assist 2369H (hold H), 5S 62369L, j chargeshot, 623L 236H

Assuming your using type A controls as far as the buttons go, you should have no problem hitting M or S while holding H.

I’m quite impressed that you found a way to get over a million damage off a throw though.

Also, out of curiosity, what are you using for the Dante combo finisher?

Actually, you can connect sword dive H (even stricter timing lol).

Against characters with small hurtboxes (Amatarasu, Viewtiful Joe, ect) you can combo aftewards unassisted (2369H->2L combos). I couldn’t get it to work unassisted against medium characters though (gotta try snapbacks though. That seems neat).

Oh that’s much simpler. Hadn’t thought of doing the lightning dive with the shoulder charge button while holding H after the divekick.

Dante finisher is pretty basic. J.S after the round harvest, 3HHH>Stinger>BC>Hammer>Volcano>Beehive>6C>Jetstream >Fireworks> Jackpot.

Works well with Zero since he doesn’t use any of Dante’s combo resources(wallbounce/ground bounce)

Also can’t you combo off a ground throw if you call drones before hand? I know that works with Dante.

Forward throw + drones assist works perfectly in the corner for sure. Midscreen you may or may not get mixed results depending on characters or exact positioning. But I do forward throw drones and you get plenty of time to combo after.

See if you can link Dante’s Acid rain after round harvest. At that height you could get a lot of loops in for absurd amounts of meter and pretty good damage .

It should be enough to kill every character in the game and give you a net gain of 1 meter :stuck_out_tongue:

You can but it’s finnicky as hell. Sometimes they move out of the corner a bit, sometimes they stay in there so you have to dash before doing the acid rain, sometimes they stay in there then move out when you dash in, it’s not worth it.

Though in a normal combo, if I haven’t used Trish assist, after round harvest DHC, I can cold shower>Stinger>Ryuenjin>Acid rain x N and build mad meter and guarantee a kill with way positive meter gain. I saw toast doing something like that in one of his videos and I came up with a variation where you can loop tons of acid rains.
