Exactly what you said :stuck_out_tongue: I have an extra Light Button assigned to R2 so I can hold it freely. though in the meantime I switched Dante’s assist to Jam session and used it to imprbve my bnb. I think I posted it elsewhere but here it is:
L (hold), M, H, 6H, S jc MMH (delay) jM (land, jump again) jMM xx Charge Shot, Light Raikousen (Hold L again), S jc MMHS, Jam Session (dante’s assit), Zetsueizan to pick them up, j Charge Shot, Rekkouha.

Does a little more damage, 450-480 on its own and 630ish~ with one bar (which this combo builds on its own). Also works everywhere on the screen, it’s not corner specific. Just gotta time the first jH so it keeps you on the opponent’s level and you don’t go either over or under him with your momentum.

Just playing around with DHCing to Dante Devil Trigger, using Rekoha. Pre DHC combo is a bit lackluster (I don’t play Zero) so one of you guys can improve on it if you like. Doing this does more damage than DHCing to million dollars and lets you build some more meter from assists used after DHC. Here it is:

Here’s an example of DHCing to DT from an air throw:

after the “MMH (delay) jM (land, jump again)” you can do jMMH (land, jump again), jMM Charge shot for a little more meter

I’d really suggest getting used to button switching though. It makes it easier to convert random hits into full combos (like if you land a Setsueizan or a J.H on a grounded opponent you’ll need to have access to light attack to keep the combo going). It’s also helpful for the purpose of being able to charge for the entire match while still having access to all your moves (j214L for instance is good for high/low mixups, and you need 5L and 2L for their speed when punishing certain block string attempts). Having a charge shot all match is very important in a lot of matchups (you can combo from it from almost full screen, it goes through every non super projectile in the game, it’s fast, it’s freaking huge, and it auto corrects if you happen to be facing the wrong way before you do it)

That and without button switching you can’t really use the Raikousen enders, which add 200-300k to every combo and build another meter. (dependent on how many Raikousens you can fit in and how much damage the assists do)

Im having trouble with the timing on letting go the buster after Air

It’s just a timing issue. You could practice by linking air :m: instead of the level 3 buster to get used to the recovery timing on air :h:. It also can’t be done too late in a combo or else they will fall out before air :h: even recovers.

However, if you want to get super fancy you can chain into air :s: and cancel the startup into the buster (or any other special moves.) Cauldrath made a video for this a while ago, here’s the link.

Does your combo works on every character? Flying screen in combos are pretty awesome! nice job…

I tested it on Sentinel and Zero, haven’t tried Ammy or Joe but I’m pretty sure it works on everyone. I did notice the timing is a little bit odd on Zero, so maybe smaller characters are more difficult. But with a few adjustments in the combo I’m sure it can work on anyone.

can it be done without the s.S while dante assist is active? i cant seem to make the lighting dive to connect with the s.S

No, because if you omit the s.S, they won’t be put into an air combo state. Without that, the sword dive at the end will not cause a hard knockdown. You could omit the S and simply combo into the level 3 blaster for the knockdown, but not as much damage.
