why did you switch sent out for wesker? and what combo are you doing with hulk/wesker to get 1mil
Like I’ve mentioned before, I feel like Sent is lacking as an anchor. He simply gets blown up by too much stuff (overheads, airthrows, etc.). Plus, everyone knows about his command grab now, so everyone just holds up and back, and he can’t do squat about it. Wesker’s otg comes out a bit faster than Rocket Punch anyway, which works wonders in midscreen situations.
My personal combo is…
st.:h:, :s:, j.:s:, dash forward + Wesker otg assist, cr.:h:, :s:, j.:h::s:, light Gamma Wave + Dorm Dark Hole assist, :h:, light Gamma Wave xx Gamma Crush.

Sentinel can air throw if the opponent is just holding up and back. I agree though, I think Sentinel is pretty weak. I don’t understand what you mean by works wonders? Are you just saying it’s easier to do? Yesterday, I was trying out Sentinel instead of Dante and Rocket Punch was super easy to connect (Dante’s Crystal is even slower than Rocket Punch, so I’m used to super tight timing during my midscreen combo).
Yeah, I use the same exact combo (though, if they are in a corner already, I add a j.:h: to my first launch series and Dante’s assist is multi-hit, so it lets me use s.:h: instead of c.:h: before the second launch). I’m sure you’re already aware of this, but I’ll put this out there for anyone unfamiliar to this combo. If you’re not quite to the corner after the relaunch, you can skip the j.:h: to make up the rest of the distance. You have to have a little bit of a delay on the j.:s:, but if you time it right, you can do a Gamma Wave L right after you land. This method makes the combo almost corner to corner.
I like Doom’s Molecular Shield a little bit more because it is extremely easy to time and it allows for some ambiguous resets where I do my s.:h: slightly early and it causes my opponent to hit the last rock and air tech. I know Dormammu can also set up reset situations, but I think those resets are more obvious since Hulk doesn’t appear to be continuing the combo. That being said, I do think Dormammu has great synergy with Hulk.
I might try Wesker out so I can set-up unblockables for Hulk and Doom.
Yeah, unblockables with Hulk is loads of fun, especially when you condition your opponents to block high.
While Sentinel can air throw, he can’t air throwas effectively as normal-sized characters. It’s kind of hard to explain, but basically, the opponent has to be at Sent’s mid-section/crotch to grab, whereas normal characters seem to have a larger throw area to work with.
Sometimes midscreen Rocket Punch whiffed for me in real matches, even though I could hit it in training 99% of the time. Weird height variances caused this I assume. I don’t have that problem with Wesker.
Yep, Dorm and Hulk compliment each other well. Hulk’s assists get people off of Dorm. Dorm’s assists extend Hulk’s combos. They DHC into each other from any bnb anywhere on the screen.
The only problem Wesker has is overshooting his otg assist on small characters. Airthrow combos don’t work on small characters, and corner combos can mess up if you don’t take a step back before calling his assist.
I still place Sent. as one of, if not the best anchor in the game. You can expect what he might do, but sometimes that is just not enough, he only needs 1 hit and it’s over.
So can every other character with XF. Wesker can mix it up and zone far better than Sent can.
Yea but what I would put above Wesker is Sent’s chip game with X-Factor. His spit is borderline bullshit on lock down doin decent damage, not to mention his other supers.
I think sent can zone better than wesker, only because sent can actually control the air. Wesker on the ground is far better than sent, but I like that I can DHC with Sent with more ease than with wesker.

DHC Glitch from Haggar to Hulk! Also theres a combo of Hulks command grab using Skrulls A-assist that takes the enemy from one corner to the other. The reason for doing M M S at the end of the air combo is because otherwise you wouldn’t be close enough to the corner to do the Gamma WavexxGamma Crush.
a good friend of mine uses Hulk/Sentinel/Haggar. team is very annoying with TOD punishes off of lariat assist. clearly that team has its problems though and he uses different assists.
I like your use of gamma wave assist and liked your opponent’s use of captain america shield. gonna try Hulk (gamma wave/Cap (shield)/Wesker (gun) in a first to five against said opponent tonight and load it. never used this team and just picked up cap a few days ago so wish me luck. hopefully i dont get bodied.
Can someone post a video of Hulk extending his midscreen combo with an OTG? I have done it some but I could really use a visual to help with the timing,
I had a couple minutes to kill this morning, so I set my iPhone up in front of my TV for you. I left input display on in case that helps at all. Since I was making a video anyway, I decided to demonstrate how far Hulk can carry people and still end with Gamma Crush.

Just a note: Dante seems to have some of the tightest timing for the OTG assist in the cast. Depending on your OTG assist, the timing may be easier.

I’m installing an HD projector this weekend in my living room, I’ll have to see if the room still lends itself to video taping. I was hoping to get face-to-face matches recorded, but Marvel has died off in the group that I play in. I’ll try to record some of my online matches sometime.
Wow thats some really nice corner carrying stuff! I must work on using my assist better seeing as my damage potential could be much higher than it is.
Ok thanx, so you guys don’t use fierce in the air combo at all I’ll try that and see if I get better results. Again thanx for the posts. I’m not sure which OTG to use I’m not a fan of Wesker maybe I’ll have an option I like in UMVC3
During midscreen combos, I don’t use j.:h:, but if they are close enough to the corner, I always throw it in there before :s: on both launches.
That’s where I was messing up. I got it one time using the H but it is much easier to do it without. Looks like Wesker has forced his way onto my team until I can play Defenders in ult. Thanx for the help.
