on p2 side it’s actually possible to charge back, neutral+dash+assist, up-forward+ATK to jump cancel into wave.

Weird that it’s inconsistent depending on what side you’re on
If you do this with a character with a normal dash (i.e. crouch cancelable dash) pressing neutral + dash after releasing back will cause you to back dash for 8 frames then dash forward
its pretty difficult but if you dont have an otg assist you can follow up command grabs with medium gamma crush, assist, light gamma wave.
i’ve been trying this with spencer armor piercer and it works,. just super difficult timing. an OTG assist really makes his all around game much better i just dont want to get rid of doom or spencer
You can keep Doom and use Hidden Missiles. It will give you a relaunch for mid-screen combos, though you will still lose your very important air throw game. I’m not sure how often other Hulk’s throw, but if I catch someone with an air throw close enough that one launch combo brings them to the corner, Hulk into Dante DHC will deal over 1 million damage.
When are you calling hidden missiles? i’ve been using the assist lately but i’m jsut really shitty at using it. i usually just call em after i get a knockdown so that I can get more mixup time with spencer/hulk. whenever i try to call em in the groundstring of my hulk/spencer combos, it usually just ends up breakign my magic strings in the air.
not sure if u know but u can combo non grounded assists off air throws too! i didn’t know this till recently but i throw a lot (doom habit i guess) and after an air throw i just charge back, do light gamma wave and call spencer armor piercer. this uses up the wall bounce but I can get a full hukl combo after this. I remember you mentioning you use dante crystal so i dont know how that will affect this,.
I believe you call it as you’re pressing :s: for your first launch or part way through the :s: animation. I’ve never liked Hidden Missiles and I only played around with it because there was another Hulk player talking about it a while back. I don’t remember if you can do a full :h::s: series without the missiles messing it up, but you can definitely do
:s: and relaunch. You’ll have to work on it for consistency though.
When you say combo non-OTG assists, do you mean in corner or anywhere? If you’re including mid-screen, then I think it’s very specific to the assist because you definitely cannot combo off of Doctor Doom assists by OTGing with Gamma Wave L unless you’re in a corner.

I’ve seen a video of mid-screen Gamma Wave L into Gamma Crush but I’ve never been able to do it. If I could, I’d be able to do my Gamma Crush into Devil Trigger combo anywhere instead of corner only. Many of my examples are specific to my assists and some are obviously Dante only, but please take the underlying principles and try to add them to your game!
You can do :h::s: - you have to call Missiles right before you super jump cancel your :s: - so you’re pressing it as late as possible. After the air series (try delay the final :s: as much as possible) you can dash, jump cancel and either j.:s: if you haven’t used your ground bounce, or land, then :s: for a relaunch. Works everywhere.
This works on everyone mid screen except Sentinel - you have to X-factor quite early, but once you get the timing down, it’s easy as. If I land an air throw at the start of the round, I do wave, x-factor, :s: into the above combo. If you delay the j.:s: that causes the knock down, you can guarantee 1.1 million damage with the follow up of :s: (ground bounce), cr.:h:, :s:, jump cancel into Gamma Crush. There’s a variation which will kill Thor, but this will kill and give you enough X factor time to kill any character 1 million and under coming in as the second character if you land the mixup on the way in.
