Huge-fighting-franchise-to-return-at-e3

As a Jigglypuff player I am behind this 100 percent.

What. . . dodges are already strong enough in Smash, they grab in the air, on sheild, and through attacks, they don’t need to grab dodges too o_O

I shoulda bolded the last half lol. Brawl’s air dodges killed Jigglypuff’s Wall of Pain.

It’s definitely Ballz.

I’m still hoping for VF and when I say “VF” I really mean Violence Fight.

But yeah, that other VF-related game would be awesome.

People, People, People…it’s quite obvious what the Franchise Return will be…

Bushido Blade!

It’s monumental! The game will utilize both Kinect & Playstation Move controls. You’ll finally be able to experience fighting with gaping wounds, broken bones & torn cartilage. It’ll be historic!

But seriously, I do hope it’s Killer Instinct 3. The series is primed for a revival and Microsoft would be stupid not to expand it’s favorable standing with what Sony has gone through…

So what are the potential games it can be?

Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown - Console port
King of Fighters XIII - Console port

Not sure I would consider a console port the “return” of a franchise though. Hope to see both at E3 honestly.

Darkstalkers 4 - This is what i’m really hoping for. Probably setting myself up for disappointment.
Killer Instinct 3 - I don’t have an Xbox so I don’t much care about this one.
Mark of the Wolves 2 - More likely announced at AOU as opposed to E3.
Guilty Gear X3 - More likely announced at AOU as opposed to E3.

All of these franchises are highly demanded and their sequels have been long awaited. Don’t think any of them have ever been “huge” though.

So in conclusion, the answer is Smash Bros Cafe :(.

fixed for ya since I think that’s what you meant.

Well, shield beats attack, and grab beats sheild and has priority on some attacks, but dodge beats all of that, and nothing beats dodge. Dodging is unlimited, and it’s fairly safe unless your opponents knows where you’ll end up after a dodge; that’s assuming he/she knew you were gonna dodge in the first place. Grabbing, while high in priority, is still vunerable to taking damage.

Nerf grabs so that they lose to active attack frames and make airborne characters immune to them. Sidestepping will still be useful for evading moves without giving up position, and roll dodge will still get you out of bad spots. I find it silly how dodging is the answer to every offensive maneveur.

Garou 2? Would be great, but I don’t think SNK is willing to make huge steps forward in the fighting game world just yet. KOF XIII is still fresh, and I just don’t see a Garou 2 coming just yet. It would just be a mOtHeRfUcKiNg MiRaClE.

I want Darkstalkers, but I’m betting on VF.

Please don’t be a new Clayfighter.

There are some obscure franchises getting mentioned for a game described as a “huge” fighting game series…Garou? Really?

yeah, can someone name all the big fighting franchises that havent seen the green light for more than 5 years?

What huge fighting game is left that’s not obscure then? All the big boys are either already on the field (SF4, MvC3, MK9, KoFXIII, SS Sen, VF5 FS) or announced and on the way (SC5, DoA5, TTT2, Tekken7, SFxT, TxSF, GG something?).
All thats left is “obscure” titles like Mark of the Wolves 2, Killer Instinct 3, Guilty Gear X3, Darkstalkers 4, Project Justice 2, Fighting Vipers 3, Fighters Megamix 2, Bloody Roar 5 blah blah blah etc etc. These would be announcements huge for the fighting game community but who else outside of us would give half a shit about any of these titles?

What else could it be? Other then a party/fighter like **Smash or Power Stone **(which would be awesome btw), what else could it be?

Power Rangers fighter?

Ya know funny enough none of us have considered this might be Third Strike Online.

Tekken 7?

Indeed. Announced about a year ago.

Please Killer Instinct 3, PLEASE, PLeasE! I’m serious though, come on man. I’ll give back street fighter IV.

Ummm no it wasn’t. Harada has already said that those were just rumours and it was actually TTT2.

You’re banking on the fact that the mainstream gaming media doesn’t consider Smash a fighting game.
