Hi
I am having issue with hrap 3 joystick and want to check if it has been solved before. When i point the joystick on any direction, every few seconds the axes conflicts with POV hat. this is visible on the windows arcade joystick setup. so when i am playing any fighter game and pressing and holding down it stands up every few seconds which is very annoying. Any idea on how i can fix it? I have tried all usb ports and same issue. joystick is set at L on the D L R toggle.
Why are you playing a fighting game with the D/L/R switch on “L”?
L = simulated left-analog stick, which has some delays in response.
For fighting games, you’d want it on “D” or “DP” = Directional Pad, which corresponds the POV hat switch on the Windows controller test setup.
Is there any specific reason you’re using “L” on the switch?

I will use that. but i had no idea since Tekken tag 2 used one of those toggles. I dont see that conflict issue with D option.
ok. I remember why I use the L analog. Mame by default recognizes L toggle. It becomes very inconvenient to change controls there with L and then toggle to D to configure the joystick. Even the mame maps recognizes the Left analog as default. If you know a better way, please let me know.
You can reconfig mame default button settings. Do it under the universal/master config. Works on mamegui
i am using mamegui 0.194. i dont see any universal/master config options. Can you please elaborate?
When you hit “tab” the menu appears on the screen. On this menu there are two sets of options.
I don’t remember the exact names but there are two sets, one of them runs the UI interface and general options as in “global” options and the other the specific game, as in individual settings per game if need be. It really isn’t that hard to figure out, you’ll see what I mean when you start using it.
Also default options run the settings for your screen. You can set mame to reproduce clean uniform pixels, just a matter of messing around with the tabs under default options, it’s pretty self explanatory once you start using it. If you’re still having trouble try a youtube video about it, I’m sure there’s a tutorial.
