HRAP 4 Periodically/completely stops working PS4

I am currently heartbroken. I had this stick for about two years, it had issues at the beginning but it worked fine afterwards. Now when i play the touch pad doesn’t work ingame, it starts to drop inputs before it stops working completely. I have to unplug and plug it back for it to eventually do it all over again. Is there anything I can do? I have not spilled or damaged it in anyway. I contacted Hori about a week ago and no response.

If it helps I had this issue when i first had it, but remedied it by switching to player 2 USB slot on PS4. I made the third back when I first bought it on here

HORI Real Arcade Pro 4 Disconnect Issue

I just recently bought a brand new unopened HRAP4 and I have been having issues where the stick stops working while playing. It will not register any inputs, button presses, or joystick movement. The odd thing is that the ps4 does not mention or prompt me that the device has been disconnected or turned off. I have seen this thread mention the same issue Arcade stick disconnects on PS4 However, I am wondering if there is another solution. Because I feel its odd to have to buy an extra hardware …

Changing slots does not fix it and it does it on any PS4 I connect to now. Please Help!

Most likely it’s the USB cord it self. If you can do some basic wiring it’s a easy fix.
Otherwise you might want to find a modder for repairs.

So its possible the wire itself is the problem? I have never done any wiring before but I can learn if thats what it takes. Is that the more likely culprit? and is it normal for it to just happen like this? Thanks for responding by the way!
