[HRAP 4 Kai] new PCB less input lag?

Welp, I revised the box and I have a surprised: the stick have kuro buttons

when I bought the stick the shop description said “hayabusa button”, what a shame! >>

So yeah, I have the old old one with only a one revision of the pcb, 1.1.

don’t look @ the box… it’s the same box with all sticks. they didn’t change it…

http://arcadeshock.com/products/hori-kuro-button-set-of-8-buttons

but if you don’t have xinput pc support it is probably the old one.

ama fr has 8€+ for 40€ voucher buyers action. so you could even get -8€ more discount on the stick.

but a bit risky because they send the vouchers mostly the next day. don’t know if the special price will be tomorrow…

price is than unbeatable!

got mine for about 90€ shipped to germany… that is already very nice if you are lucky to get the new rev.!

Thanks for making this thread TC. I’m in the market for a new multi-platform stick on three platforms. It’s great to hear hori remedied their pcb problems. I’m also liking the matte finish on the hayabusa buttons and haven’t experience yet.
I might grab this KoF hayabusa stick

np, really like the stick

don’t now if teyah is very aktiv in this forum but whould be nice if he tests the new rev. . to end all speculations

Is this basically the same pcb revision? https://www.amazon.com/PS4-compatible-Real-Arcade-Pro-V-HAYABUSA/dp/B017QORK7I/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1469251105&sr=8-7&keywords=hori+kai

(I can get this import for around the same price as the US KAI version)

Yes, seems to be fine, although I can’t say 100% for sure. It does have the xinput mode, so probably good to go.

should be the same pcb because it has 3 way switch… because the old rev. two way switch pcb was same in kai 4 and hayabusa 5

this video compares the original rap v with the rap v hayabusa. I assume they were the equivalent pcbs on the US verion kai and the improved kai…

nice, the rap v loses every attack. and the hayabusa is much more competativ

rap v and the kai 4 have the same pcb so should be the same with the new ones.

So is this rap4 kai the new one? How do I know if it’s the one with the new PCB?

How do the hori sticks/buttons compare to sanwas?

Yes it is. It has the PC Xinput switch.
The old PCB’s did not have that.

Sorry if this was answered already but I thought I would chime in. I have seen unboxing videos and reviews of new HRAp4’s buttons.

It’s different when u start using them. I have had mine for a month now and used it for about 4 hours a day since day one. At first they are quiet and “spongy” as they say. But very quickly they get a little clicker and don’t feel “spongy” at all. I never thought that they felt bad anyway. They just don’t feel like real arcade buttons but in my opinion they are better. They are sensitive and work great. I wouldn’t bother changing them unless they break or u just don’t like the feeling.

As for the hayabusa stick. It’s very loud and clicky. It works great though.once u get used to a stick if u are new it’s great. Not to loose not to tight. I bought a silent JLF because I play at night but I’m not sure it’s much better than the hayabusa. The only thing I can see that’s “better” could be the microswitches. They are a one peice soldered Board. I’ll have to test it out and see.

I’ll post back on my results if anybody wants??
. No scientific stuff just straight playing and execution.

The Kuro buttons feel a bit like Sanwa OBSF and Hayabusa like Seimitsu PS 15G.

Only disadvantage is the matt material. It has a nice fress and elegant look but i guess it will wear off after time.

Think that’s the reason why experienced companies like Seimitsu, Crown or Sanwa never used matt balltop or buttondesign for arcade maschines. Nice look but not durable in intensive use conditions.

nice, will be interesting to read your reviews!

nikogel360 upload a new video, the old hori (i don’t know how old is) vs 2017, in the description you can see the data of each video.

Jup Hayabusa ver. 2017 has 3 way system switch same as Kai ver. 2016…

Should be the same PCBs…
